We stayed over New Year and ordered the Afternoon Tea for 5 people. The quality was amazing and it was all extremely tasty and fresh.
It was delivered to our lodge at 1pm which was perfect timing the only thing was the amount of food was phenomenal no one was ready for evening meal. We had the cakes later on in the evening, the potato scones with breakfast the next morning and pancakes with lunch the next day. 
We have been visiting Whitecairn for several years and have never thought to order this but from now on when it is available we will be making sure to order.

Very warm welcome and lovely lodge you get pots, frying pan, dish washer, casserole dishes, fridge freezer. Not much more you could ask for. There is a key store just down the road 5 mins in a car but other than that you don’t have any shops near by so bring all you need salt and pepper is a must. Hot tub was all set up for you coming in, you definitely have privacy when your in there

Lovely quiet and relaxing site. Lodge was spotless and really warm and cosy. It had everything we needed and more. Hot tub was fantastic. Warden was helpful. All in all we would definitely recommend this site to explore the coastline and forest park.

We stayed in the Pondview Lodge, lovely view of the pond with ducks and fish, kids loved it. Very clean, friendly staff and a tranquil setting for relaxing and having family time. Plenty of areas to walk our dog. Loved it so much that we have booked again for next year!

We are here for a 4 night stay in the Argyll 2 bed and it’s superb. Immaculately clean, spacious lodge with all you need. Ladies on reception were very welcoming and Adrian was super helpful and pleasant when showing us how things worked. Quiet, spotless site.

Stayed here for four night with the family absolutely Spotless . Staff  so so friendly , hot tub cleaned every morning. Cabin lovely ,just a lovely quiet time away . 
Stranraer is a ten minute drive  away .Lots of nice beach or forest walks for the dog .

Just back from our fourth stay at Whitecairn (2 adults and 2 teens) and missing it already. We’ve previously stayed in Argyll lodges and tried the Glencoe this time. They are all stunning! 
The lodges are cosy and spotless, with everything you need - I wish my own kitchen was as well-equipped! A real highlight is the stunning hot tub, which always makes me feel so peaceful, watching the birds / stars or reading a book. 
We love the calm peacefulness of the site: everyone is so friendly, from Adrian, the fantastic warden, to the reception staff. We bought fresh eggs from reception each day, which was a real treat. 
Had some lovely little trips to nearby Portpatrick, which is stunning, and a few other nearby bays. We stocked up on a few treats and provisions at the nearby Key Store. 
Overall, this is fast becoming our happy place as family as it’s a blissful retreat from our busy lives. Even our teenagers love coming here - they actually embrace being away from devices for a few days: our daughter actually enjoyed doing a bit of GCSE revision in the calm atmosphere and our son loved just being able to chill and play games as a family. This special place really is the perfect place to reconnect.

My husband and I have been coming to Whitecairns for a number of years now and they never disappoint us. This year we were upgraded to a gorgeous lodge free from a caravan . The caretaker Adrian came round to show us how everything worked lovely man extremely pleasant and helpful . The lodge was a real treat it was spacious and had everything you could need we overlooked the pond which was lovely. A very quiet and relaxing holiday we loved it . I’m just off the phone to Debbie in reception to book our next two holidays for next year and am looking forward to it already . All the staff at Whitecairns are most helpful and Debbie always pleasure to speak to . 

Well where do I start, this is our 3rd year at this holiday park with our family. It has been amazing everytime we come here, we are always in the Argyle lodge and it's our favourite lodge, we always book the same lodge, we have booked again for next year which we are looking forward too

As always a fantastic park. Lodges are super clean and great value for money. Staff could not be more helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

A very undiscovered part of Scotland that is well worth visiting, beaches are stunning with very few people on them in the middle of August!!

Beautiful caravan park

Immaculate Lodge filled with everything that you need.  The site is also Immaculate and well maintained.  Hot tub was amazing and kids enjoyed fishing.  Staff are friendly and helpful, Adrian was chatty and helpful, showing us various places of interest nearby.  Would totally recommend and will be back again.  So peaceful and relaxing.  

Relaxing weekend 

My husband booked Whitecairn with a lodge with hottub for 2 nights as a treat for our 30th wedding anniversary,  we were in a pond view lodge. 
On arrival we went in to reception and Debbie booked us in and showed us where to go, she also gave us a bottle of prosecco and beer for our anniversary.  Thank you Debbie. 
These lodges are absolutely immaculate with everything you need, the caretaker arrived quickly after to show us how to work the hottub, heating and things, really helpful and friendly. 
There was only one thing wrong with our stay and that was that it wasn’t long enough.
Really recommend this gem of a place and thanks must go to Debbie, housekeeping and caretaker for keeping this place spotless.

My husband and I have visited Whitecairns on numerous occasions now and have found the park peaceful and quiet. The staff of Whitecairns can’t do enough to be helpful especially Debbie who always is a pleasure to speak to either personally or on telephone. The caravan is always spotless with everything you could need for an enjoyable holiday We like it so much we book our future holidays in advance. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely place to anyone.   Anne Kennedy

Fantastic holiday park

We visited here last year on exactly the same week.   We booked the Juniper this year and goodness were we treated to a taste of luxury.   The lodges have everything and I mean everything you can think of.  The added bonus in Juniper is the robes and slippers.  Sounds like a simple addition but we wore them all week out to the amazing hot tub and on the decking.  The views over the bay were amazing,  we were so lucky with the weather.   We ran along the path down to the Abbey ruins and back round through Glenluce, it was so quiet and peaceful.   The children enjoyed the downtime and the no wifi was a bonus as it made for good family time.  We recommend a night hot tub session looking up at the star's, a great experience.   Whitecairn is quiet and you do need to travel to find places to eat or shop but that's why we liked it.  Spot on staff and the warden was a lovely chap.  Highly recommended,  we didn't want to come home.  Thanks again for an enjoyable stay.

Second visit and did not disappoint

Had a lovely visit to Whitecairn caravan and retreat. Site is very clean and friendly. Extremely peaceful and quiet. Hot tubs are very privately fenced. 
A few carps in the small fishing pond on-site too, which is nice. Some sites claim to have fish but don’t. This one actually does. 
Downside is there is no shop on-site. 10 minute drive round trip to the local shop that sells everything you need. Or stock up with plenty of food and drink, there’s plenty of room in the kitchen.
There is one local pub, would probably be around a 30 minute walk but due to taking less mobile parents didn’t visit. And doesn’t make food. 
Great base for most attractions are approximately 30 minutes car ride in all directions. Had a busy week.

Lodge with a dog

As a family, we loved our stay! The lodge was spotless, as was the entire park. The setting is so quiet and idyllic (until we had new neighbours in the next lodge who brought a speaker and played rave music outside all afternoon and night until 11pm). 
No Wi-Fi at all, which gave us initial problems with the 7 year old and no indoor pool (when we asked we were told it was on the sister site and is currently out of use). This was a slight issue for us, but we were able to get out and about and see the area which was gorgeous! 
The staff are lovely, as is the warden.
