Very pretty location. Near to where we visited. Would stay again. Very warm room despite the very cold weather.

Excellent, will definately stay there again, my room this time was in a building (converted house) detached from the main building and was warm, clean and modern, a very comfortable stay at a competive price.Breakfast options and quality was excellent and evening resturant dining is also very nice.staff excellent and helpful in all aspects, location just 40 mins north of lincoln and a short 10 min trip to scunthorpe.

I was greeted by a very plesant gentelman who dispite my 5 hour journey made me smile and relaxed the check in was smooth a quick.The room although very warm was clean the bed was extremely comfy i slept on top ofthe covers how i was born .The breakfast was exceptional .The staff are very welcoming and chatty.My only slight disappointment is the bar next to the restaurant was closed early and i was moved to the front bar which has a very distinctive smell of fish. Other then that what a very lovely place to stay.

Really nice rooms in a really nice pub, on the village green.If your coming i would book a table at the restaurant in advance as it looked both great but busy. I walked into the village got some supplies from the shop and then dinner at the local Chinese. Reception gave me a plate and cutlery so i could easily eat in my room

Nice facility and excellent co staff however, there are a lot of steps so not great for the elderly and we struggled to get hot water to have a shower. Ran for 30 mins but could only get hot water if ran the cold tap in the sink and popped in and out of the shower to control water that way … not ideal.

Great Comfort & Restaurant

We have stayed here before so were expecting the same good service. Unfortunately we stayed in room 20 and it was no where near as good as the last room. It did haven't enough plug sockets and there wasn't one anywhere near the mirror to do your hair. There were marks on the wall which was obviously where it was going mouldy. There was no mat to wipe your feet on which therefore left dirty marks on the carpet which I was not happy to do. Having said that the hotel is in a good position and the restaurant is lovely as are the staff.

The positives: the staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful, but not obtrusive.  The room was nice, with no problems with the facilities.  There are USB A and C sockets at the plug points.  Everything just worked, so we had no need to ask for explanation.  It has a pleasant village setting (NOTE - Hotels.com suggested this was IN Gainsborough - it isn't.) You can walk around the village, which has shops/cashpoint in the Co-Op shop/takeaways and pubs, and a really nice old parish church just a few steps away (it happened to be open for the weekend whilst we were there). Within easy drive of other places, but I don't think you could practically stay here if you are reliant on public transport. The room we stayed in is in the main building - this has obviously recently been refurbished (the room was good, but in the corridor: carpet and some fittings still need to be replaced/it smelled slightly of paint), but they'll probably be finished very shortly by the looks of it.  Some of the guest rooms are in adjacent buildings, but only a few steps away across the car park.  One minor niggle: the internet service seemed to be a bit underpowered for current hotel size and expectations - struggled on a zoom call with wifi (fortunately, this was personal, not business), and the TV buffered a bit with internet services.  Whether this is so in all rooms, I cannot say.  Personally, I prefer an ethernet access where I can get one, but I understand this may entail extra wiring. Would return

A nice place to stay for a night or two.

The accommodation was amazing.   We had completed a visit prior to our booked dates to see what the pub & accommodation was like.   We weren’t disappointed.   The accommodation was very clean and tidy.  The staff on reception were very helpful and cheerful.   We didn’t actually get chance to sample the restaurant (as we were in the locality to attend a wedding).

Immaculate accommodation

Loved the cosy restaurant and bar area - just what we needed after a long drive up from Hampshire.  Our room was right at the end of a corridor, including one main flight and two small flights of stairs. I'm not disabled but was temporarily using a stick due to a knee injury so, if accessibility is critical to you, best look elsewhere, as there is no lift. Room was comfortable and bed was a good size. We did have to ask for toilet paper though and the shower head was loose and had to be held rather than angled towards you. Breakfast (vegetarian cooked) was very tasty and set me up for the day, but is charged extra. 
Overall for good nights' sleep great food and friendly staff,  4 stars seem about right.

Great restaurant, reasonable hotel facilities

We had a lovely 2 night stay. Room compact but exceptionally clean and a very comfortable double bed. Some noise on the first night from some boy racers but very quiet the second night. Room very warm but we stayed in the heatwave. There was a fan provided. Breakfast was excellent with pre booking forms and a small continental offering. We are in the restaurant on our first night and enjoyed the food and in the garden the second night, again great food. All staff were excellent with great manners.

I was doing a track day locally and wanted to stay somewhere not too far from the venue. The White Swan was recommend to me and I'm glad I booked. It's an excellent venue with modern clean rooms and a superb restaurant. Off road parking (essential for a motorcycle) and very friendly staff. 

The breakfast is freshly made and for the evening meal, I can recommend the lasagne! The restaurant was packed out both evenings and that just shows you the locals think it's great too.
