If you are looking for a warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere, fabulous home made food and a comfy room, this is the place to be!  

I had the cottage pie & it was just what I needed after a long drive.

The bedroom was nice & cosy, with an amazing bath.  The have all the little extras, like a table next to the bath to rest your book ....... or wine glass :) 

The bed was so comfortable, I forfeited breakfast!

We were looking for a pub with accommodation and wanted to avoid using booking.com as they take such a big chunk and when it’s a small business this can have a significant impact on finances. We searched using the good pub guide and this place is really friendly and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable with a lovely shower too
Food was great - both dinner and breakfast were exceptional - had prawn and crayfish cocktail which was delicious I had beef medallions and husband had pork loin
Nothing was too much trouble

Just got back from meeting our daughter for a Sunday lunch here.
Honestly, we all agreed that this was one of the best Sunday lunches that we have ever had. The Food was really good, all home made, I couldn’t believe all the plates of sides that kept coming. Excellent value also, even at full price (which seemed very reasonable) but we enjoyed a 20% discount offer as per the website, which runs until the end of January, so fill your boots 👍. 
The bar and table service team were first class also, very polite, attentive and efficient. Even offering to go and get some skimmed milk from the shop for my coffee, nothing was too much trouble.
We will go again for sure and if you’re reading this and you are hungry, then so should you!

Taken as a birthday treat by a neighbour and was blown away. When we last visited it was a pub serving food, it has been transformed into a quality gastro pub. The food was excellent in both variety and presentation, the staff whilst young are attentive and confident. Can't recommend this establishment highly enough

The most amazing Christmas lunch. The table was lovely decorated & reserved for the whole day so no worry about rushing. The service was superb from beginning to end of our meal. The food was absolutely delicious, served at the right pace for us to enjoy our day. A thoroughly enjoyable meal & the best Christmas lunch out we’ve ever had. Thank you so much to the team at The George.

Having lived in Kirton Lindsey all of her life, Shani had her heart set on staying local for as much of the wedding day as possible. Being family friends, we approached Glen, Di & Kieren earlier in the year and  started planning the big day. We are all so very pleased we did and cannot recommend & rate The George Hotel enough!

Great experience

We stayed there at the end of August before our visit to Hemswell Antiques. The room we had was on the first floor next to the kitchen but in spite of that it was surprisingly quiet. Nice decor, quite spacious, huge mirror, comfy bed. We needed a fan as it was a hot day. The hotel is old and the layout is a bit convoluted. But then it adds to its charm. We also had dinner in the restaurant on the ground floor, next to a bar. We ordered only two starters each as we were not very hungry, which-as it turned out-was a mistake. Each portion was big enough to be a main course. We had red onion marmalade roasted camembert – rich, creamy and smooth with no trace of bitter aftertaste which sometimes is there with too mature camembert. The spring rolls with duck were truly delicious and equally truly huge. The red we had (South American Cabernet, if I’m not mistaken) was just as delicious as the food. The girls mixed up our drinks with those of other guests but it all got sorted out in the end. A very enjoyable meal for which the chef should be complemented and a very nice stay. Followed by an exciting day at Hemswell.

I booked The George Hotel on booking.com as I had bought a driving experience for my partner in the same area. 
Well I wasn’t disappointed at all, great price included Breakfast and what can I say…. The chef  his food is excellent. The rump steak 🥩 and gammon cooked to perfection so tasty, and not to mention breakfast everything you could wish for. Please see my pictures to appreciate this hotel. 
Glen the landlord and all of his staff made us so welcomed, definitely rated high up on my choice of places to stay.

Fantastic little (well not so little) pub/hotel/restaurant. What a find and excellent value for money. The staff were all really lovely. 
Room was spotlessly clean and a great size. 
Breakfast was superb as was the meal we had the night before.
Would definitely recommend to others.
