Myself and my husband stayed at Ferndale House for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding nearby. Even though we arrived fairly late we had a friendly welcome and a couple of requests were met with no trouble at all.The room was beautifully decorated and spacious with very comfortable beds and wonderful bed linen, not to mention very clean, and the welcome tin of muffins was a nice touch.Breakfast was delicious on both mornings and the service excellent. We would not hesitate to stay here again,a gorgeous B&B.

The perfect B&B for a stay in the forest.
Really lovely place - Christine and Andy were the perfect hosts. Just the right balance of attentiveness and independence. Very comfortable, cosy and clean room and excellent beds. The ensuite was spacious and had a window opening onto a rushing stream and the forest. Christine had even gone to the trouble of getting us gluten-free biscuits for our room, and we had a great full English breakfast that was also gluten-free. The perfect B&B in a beautiful location!

Another wonderful stay at Ferndale, friendly and welcoming hosts. Cosy room and fantastic breakfast as always! The price is very reasonable for the quality of accommodation and facilities. The welcome muffins are a thoughtful touch and certainly kept us going on the drive home :)

Husband and I stayed at Ferndale House for a short break.,it is absolutely charming in every way.
Room was comfortable airy and  spotlessly clean. Great quality generous breakfast beautifully cooked.
Christine the host was exceptionally attentive and welcoming. A quaint tin of muffins awaited us in our room with tea or coffee service.
A absolute perfect base to explore the area for families couples or soloists.

Definitely Would Stay again.

This was my second stay at Ferndale B&B and it was just as wonderful as the first. Andy and Christine are warm and welcoming hosts while the room was clean, cosy and thoughtfully providing with muffins, tea, coffee etc and a book of local area information which came in handy. 
Breakfast was delicious and our party of 6 chose different cooked items but was brought out together and with a smile. My husband particularly enjoyed the huge cafetière while the rest of us enjoyed lashings of tea! There were juices and cereals to help ourselves to if we wished. Would book again without hesitation!

Just wanted a quiet place for a night break away and found this B&B, it was lovely and the hosts were so welcoming and helpful, had a great nights rest and a lovely breakfast in the morning, really felt rested, many thanks.

our stay at this B&B was excellent we had a double room on the first floor the room and ensuite was spotless and provided everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was also excellent good choice and good quality.

We had a lovely stay for two nights at Ferndale. The room was lovely and very well presented, and we had such a warm welcome over our stay. 

We had a minor challenge with one of our bikes and they were kind enough to let us leave our broken bike in their store to collect on our way back from the trail centre which was greatly appreciated. 

The b&b is located 5 minutes away from the main bike centre, so an ideal base for a bit of biking!

Andy and Christine a great hosts. Securely Locked the bikes for us. Great breakfast and muffins for supper. Found a path 30 meters from the front door to take us off road to the bike park . Warm room and WiFi to relax after a day on the bike.

Welcoming hosts, clean, modern & stylish furnishings, great location, lovely surroundings with a brook gushing down outside our window which we loved. Delicious and good choice of breakfast. Good value. We loved it and if we visit Forest of Dean again, we'll be back!

Superb b&b

My friend and we’re originally going to stay in a branded motel until we found this fantastic B&B !! Not only cheaper than the motel but breakfast was included and we were closer to the Forest of Dean for our Mountain Bike days out. Andy and Christine are great hosts and make you feel welcome and at home. Definitely will try and stay there again when I’m next in the area !!

Great find !!

I stayed for one night on business, Andy & Christine make you feel very welcome. My room was very clean & comfortable with some personal touches. I loved the sweet little muffin tin (with muffin included!) at my arrival! The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. I would highly recommend as a place to stay and will recommend to my colleagues and return when I am required to stay in this area in the future.
