My husband and I have just had a lovely two day break at Esmae House.
It is a lovely, friendly, homely B&B in a great central location.

The hosts were very welcoming, gave lots of tips on where to go and what to do in and around Filey and cooked a great breakfast too.
The rooms were spotlessly clean with lovely decor and had great attention to detail.
We will definitely return.

Great Stay

Stayed here for 2 evenings at the start of the month & could not fault anything about this B&B. Spotlessly clean & we were particularly impressed with how COVID secure & conscious the owners were, very reassuring in current times. Lovely room with nice furnishings & the breakfasts were excellent quality too. The owners were friendly, without being intrusive, & ran everything like clockwork. Excellent location in the centre of Filey. Would highly recommend.

Excellent B&B

I stayed two nights at Esmae house and was very impressed with the standard of everything. 
Upon arriving I was met by the hosts who were very helpful and informative. 
Beautiful place and Immaculately clean. 
I had to be up very early on my first morning before breakfast to do a full day sporting event. Mark got up at 5 AM to make me porridge. Service beyond the call of duty. 
Breakfast on my second morning was excellent. 
I can not fault anything and would happily recommend, lovely place and perfect hosts. 

Perfect accommodation & hosts

Lovely hosts, room 3 excellent, handled my wife’s dairy allergy excellently.  Parking was not an issue really.  San Marco restaurant was very good as well.  Covid processes all very sensible and well implemented.

Brilliant

Stopped 2 nights and was amazed at the quality of this b&b, although an old Victorian property its been totally refurbished to a high standard with no expense spared, 2 sittings for breakfast due to Covid regs and was well managed. To the owners, keep up the good work and you should be very proud of your achievements. 

Classy Host

We have just returned home after 3 nights spent at Esmae House.

We arrived just a few minutes before check in at 1600. Although there is no car park we found a decent spot opposite the B&B. Check in was quick and easy. Mike took our bags to our rooms as Karen checked us in. We had a quick run over of the rules and filled out our breakfast forms for the next morning.

On entering our room (room 2) we found a cosy room with a king size bed with clean linen. There is an amenities tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. There is ample storage space. The small bathroom was perfect for our needs with a shower, sink and toilet. The shower was lovely and warm with a good spray. There is also a desk and chair, TV with freeview channels and a view to the rear of the property. The room is light and airy and was absolutely spotless. We had a sneak peek in the unoccupied rooms and would be happy to stay in any of them.

Breakfast is served between 0800 and 0900 at a time of your choosing. There are cereals, fresh juice and fruit to start of with laid out for you. You choose the evening before your other items, tea or coffee, white or brown toast, hot breakfast items from full English through to various pancakes. All were freshly cooked and we had most items over the weekend and all were really tasty.

There is a small living room you can chill out in with sofas and the like. This is cosy and just like being at home.

We had a good nights sleep each night and even the seagulls couldn’t wake us after long tiring days.

We will definitely stay here again and are already planning for my birthday in February.

Really lovely B&B well worth staying here.

Brilliant weekend break

We returned to Esmae house B+B because it is immaculate and clean. The rooms are lovely. The hosts are very friendly. We will be back again soon. The breakfast are superb. Our hosts made us feel very welcome.

Another great stay

This is a beautiful b&b. The room was clean and modern, Karen and Mike were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was superb! (Pre order slips in the room with brilliant options) 
If we ever come back to this area I would stay here again!

Stayed here for two nights to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary.  Lovely friendly welcome from the hosts, who were very helpful in giving us directions on how to reach Filey Dams.  Breakfast cooked to order and really excellent.  Our room was No. 5, at the top of the house, but had everything we needed, although on the small side.  The decor was really fresh and the whole house had a lovely aroma.

Great little B & B in Convenient Location

Booked this as my usual accommodation in Filey was not available on the dates I wanted. What a great find. Bed and breakfast accommodation run by Karen and Mike. Situated in centre of town and within walking distance of most amenities. Tastefully decorated establishment that was spotlessly clean. Stayed in room number 3 which was spacious with a seating area and ample storage. The hosts were welcoming and very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Very good healthy selection at breakfast of fresh fruit , cereals etc followed by a full English if required. Cater for vegetarian diets. Overall a superb weekend and will certainly return to this establishment.
