Beautiful place! The staff go above and beyond! The caravan was clean and spacious and the children loved the pool and the food is lush! Dog walking into the forest is a huge bonus too. Drinks are a little pricey but that's standard at most parks. Can't wait to return! 

Very clean accommodation. All staff are helpful and friendly. Brilliant pool. Good food. Good entertainment for all especially kids. Games machines are good value for money. Fantastic New Year's Eve party as well. Would definitely rebook

We came here at the end of November/ beginning of September for our annual family visit. 
We decided to book a lodge with a sauna and hottub in the Black Friday deals and as aways, it was lovely. The rooms were all spacious, there were towels and bath robes included and lots of table space for games night. 
The Christmas decorations at the complex were lovely, a snow machine as you walk in, with lots of lights and trees on the inside too. It was very pretty. 
On the Saturday afternoon we decided to watch the pantomime, like last years it didn’t disappoint. It is great for all ages and didn’t cost a penny. 
On the Sunday we queued up to see the Father Christmas, again a free activity which included a complimentary selection box. He was easily the best Santa we have seen within the last few years, he really spent lots of time with each child. He really was amazing. 
I would say that the bar service has been very slow with each visit we go but apart from that we had a great stay and cannot wait to visit again next year.

Most fantastic week caravan was spotless , even had tea coffee etc and bottle wine in fridge when found out it was our anniversary there was flowers outside caravan door we will be using it on a regular basis ,sight spotless eat there was so good

Great value holiday. Really good location. Very nice and helpful staff. Really good facilities. Great we could bring our dogs at no extra cost. We will definitely return and would thoroughly recommend. The bar and restaurant were reasonable value however the shop is understocked and expensive.

we stayed in violet 14 when I meet my son . here to see my mum . it's the nicest holiday home we ever stayed in.. the staff are amazing the park is lovely and clean . this is now our no 1 place to go . well done oakdene holiday park . the beds were so comfortable .the heating was very good .

Enjoyed my time here visiting military museums. Caravan was good, site was excellent. Facilities are excellent. Bar/Restaurant with good food and Costa coffee. My only gripe was the unusual use of hoardings to block entrances to parking areas on caravans, very annoying. Would recommend site and will return.

I visited Oakdene at the end of November with my family, including my 5 year old daughter. 
We did book activities on the website beforehand which were cancelled. The manager explained this was due to showing the pantomime early. This was amazing, the pantomime was so funny and the whole family really enjoyed it, definitely suitable for all ages. 

The arcade is small but has everything you need, a few machines didn’t work but staff were happy to help and gave us our £1 back or tickets etc. 

We booked a standard caravan this time, which was clean. We did forget our towels which aren’t provided in the caravan we booked so paid £6 from reception to hire a set which I don’t think is too bad. 

The entertainment was great, it was quieter being close to the end of the season but everyone was getting involved, the staff were awesome and set a great atmosphere. 

The only downside was the price of the food in the restaurant and the wait time for drinks, even at the quieter time. 

My family and I visit every year and can’t wait to return again.

Just had a lovely family weekend at this park. We had three statement caravans, all clean, modern and very comfortable. Two for family members with dogs, so it was nice to be able to bring the dogs along. Dogs seemed welcome everywhere. We all loved The Acorn restaurant. Food was amazing. Compliments to the chef and all the restaurant staff. Lili was great with the children for their activities and great with the adults doing archery. Well done Lili. 
The swimming pool was wonderfully warm, everyone loved the slide, so we had a great morning swimming together. 
The Xmas decorations in the park were lovely. The snow machine was a lovely touch. 
Nearby Moors Valley Country park was great for all the family, although the parking is expensive. Overall we would recommend Oakdene for a family break. Upgrade your accommodation if you want more luxury but otherwise a great, well priced family park. Thanks to all the Oakdene staff.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Oakdene Forest Park which we used as a base to go to Bournemouth for the Christmas lights.
Due to some flooding on the park we were upgraded to a Superior Lodge with a hot tub - what a treat! It really was as the name suggests - superior - spotless and with the comfiest beds ever.
We had no hot water Saturday morning and after calling reception a member of staff was round to rectify this within 20 minutes (the temperature had been turned down)
We saw a member of staff cleaning/checking our hot tub twice on the Saturday.
My granddaughters did the inflatable jet ski sessions on the Sunday and the lady that took the session was so good with them - even opening the slide for their sole use after their session until the main pool opened.  
The few members of staff we dealt with were all lovely...thankyou all for a lovely weekend.

Fantastic festive getaway

My sister paid for us all to stay in a lodge with a hot tub for a Christmas present for last year, and it was lovely! 

When she booked it, she hadn’t realised that it was the Christmas weekend, so that was an added bonus, and also that our lodge came with a sauna!! 

We stayed in  Rhodendroden 14.  The lodge was lovely! Clean and tidy throughout and the hot tub was clean and hot waiting for our arrival. In one of the bedrooms the single beds are very small, caravan bed size, whereas in the other rooms they are normal size. Outside the lodge one of the chair arms is broken, and the stairs and railings getting on to the decking is dangerous, apart from that, the lodge is lovely. You can connect your phone to play your music throughout and it comes with a dishwasher and a washing machine! 

The entertainment for the weekend was great, the pantomime was hilarious and meeting santa was great! Shame about the prices of the club house. First of all, it’s all paperless so you have to take your phone to the bar to get served. It happened everytime for them to check the pass (which they don’t check properly as I showed them a pass from October I had on my phone when I stayed in Oakdene) very annoying if your ordering a few drinks with no pocket to put your phone in to. Secondly, the prices are ridiculous!! 

For a splash of lime in my drink in the showbar it was £1.40, next door in the acorn bar it was £1.00 (40p difference). The drinks are very very expensive and there’s no need for it, Oakdene is a lovely local park which I use regularly but it’s starting to put me off, the accommodation is a good price but the clubhouse really lets it down. I had cheesy chips one day, the cheese were on top in a bowl, melted but not layered or anything, they were okay nothing special. The day after I had roast beef. 
The roast wasn’t the best, frozen potatoes cooked in oil, canned carrots and stuffing was anemic and chewy?? Beef was nice but the Yorkshire was soggy. Dinner was drenched in gravy and very watery. 

I love Oakdene, it takes 25 minutes to get there from home and can feel like your anywhere. However, the club house lets it down slightly. The accommodation is great, I’ve never had a problem it’s great for a get together with family and friends and play games etc. 

Oakdene done a great job for entertainment for the Christmas weekend.

Great park overall
We stayed in  supreme caravan which looked pretty new and super clean. 
We thought the extra for towels was a bit of a cheek so took our own. Forgot a bath mat as assumed it would be included - it was not!
Kitchen well equipped 
Table mats or coasters would also be a nice touch 
Clubhouse/ reception pretty good. Pool was clean as were changing rooms and gym was well equipped. 
We used the arcade a bit and the clubhouse one evening and entertainment was really fun and super family oriented. 
Disappointed nothing (no shop or arcade) open on 1st... son had loads of tokens and couldn't redeem but that was the site rules.
Staff were generally great,  helpful and happy.


Good site and facilities

We just got back from a 3 night New Years break and had a great time.

We had a 2 bedroom Sublime caravan with hot tub, which was ready early for us to check into.
The whole caravan and decking area was spotlessly clean and loads of space for a family of 4.

The hot tub was up to temperature within a few hours of us arriving, our two daughters thought they were the bees knees sitting in there 😂
We used the hot tub everyday we were there, particularly nice in the evening (weather dependant cuz boy did it rain!!!) sat in there with a class of bubbles.

We also used the pool everyday, no where near as busy as I thought it would be. Again, the kids loved it and Mummy loved the sauna!!!

I purposely didn’t take a hair dryer as assumed there would be one in the accommodation….  there’s not. I asked at reception if there was one I could rent but the only hairdryers available are in the changing room…. Just two of them… so ladies, don’t forget a hairdryer.

We stayed in Violet38, and as mentioned earlier, there was ALOT of rain. The exit from our little area was completely and utterly flooded, meaning we had to walk across the squelchy, water logged grass.

We had a great time and the kids are asking if we can do the same again next year!!

Lovely weekend 

This is probably one of the best parks we have visited in this area and we have been to a few. We loved that the site wasn't huge. The swimming pool was great with a flume, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. The kids had a great time in the pool, park, arcade and entertainment. The evening entertainment was good, all we said was that the timings are a little odd for the children's bits and it's a bit of a shame they don't have more of a theme songs etc for the kids to remember and do each night.  
Our caravan was perfect, a sensation 2, in Willow area which was really close to the complex but felt quiet and nice. 
The forest is right outside the park which is lovely for walks. 
Supermarkets, mcdonalds etc up the road. 
Will deffinately be returning!

Great stay

We stayed over a weekend. We had a dog friendly caravan, living room space was a nice size, had a nice sized sofa, table and still room for the dogs to lay in the centre of the room. Main bedroom was a good size with a double bed, built in wardrobes and en-suite. Smaller room had 2x single beds which we were able to fold up one so the travel cot would fit in. Main bathroom was also a good size and didn't have a tiny shower cubicle like most places! Kitchen consisted of a fridge and freezer (freezer not being one of those small ones) even though we didn't use it but would be handy if you were staying for a week or so.

Woodland areas on site where we were able to walk the dogs.

The shop onsite is ok but is a lidls/sainsbury literally 5mins in the car down the road which is handy. 

The caravan had a hoover which I thought was great especially with 2 dogs! Stayed on other caravan sites and didn't have this before. 

The indoor swimming pool was a nice size with a children's pool leading into the big pool and had a water flume. I can imagine in more popular months it will get crowded easily.

The entertainment was in the restaurant due to it being winter months and less guests so I cannot comment on that part. We did play bingo one night. There is a arcade on site which has a selection of games for older children but we found there was nothing for our 2year old to play with, which was a shame. 

Restaurant had the usual pub foods, but no complaints there, we never had a bad meal.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, only being 30mins down the road from us we will re visit in the future.
