Atmospheric old pub serving good beer and freshly cooked food. Excellent value. Large portions. Catch of the day was fab as was the fish and chips. Very friendly service. Essential to book. Parking could possibly be difficult in high season.

This has to be the best kept secret place to visit. We spent the weekend in Cornwall at the Plume of Feathers in Portscatho it was amazing. The bedrooms were clean and inviting and the breakfast was outstanding.
The staff were the funniest and best value.
You only needed to walk about 100 steps to look out to sea and if you’re lucky you may get to see dolphins and seals swimming. It’s just down the road from the Hidden Hut which is also a closely guarded secret in Cornwall of wonderful places to eat.
Give it a try if you can get booked in you won’t be disappointed.

What a fabulous pub run by an amazing team. We stayed for three nights at the beginning of March. The room was spotless with a huge super comfy bed and although it was directly above the bar, we couldn’t hear anything and it was very busy! 
The breakfasts were incredible. Huge portions and cooked to perfection. The Sunday Roast is a must if you’re staying at the weekend! All the staff are brilliant but we have to say a huge thank you to Lisa and Maisie who really went out of their way to make sure we were looked after really well and our little dog Woody adored them both!


 far exceeded our expectations. The room was bright and comfortable. The breakfasts were awesome. Dinners top rate! And best of all the staff was fabulous. Roger, Helen and Lisa were welcoming and accommodating. Fun to be with. If we could give it 6 stars we would!!!!

What a fabulous stay.  The food was lovely, we stayed in “Percuil” the only slight issue was for my hubby at 6’3” the shower was a challenge as the room is built into the roof space. The breakfast was amazing every day. The location is perfect. We had evening meals too and the food again was delicious. The staff were all good fun and very friendly and helpful

Been to the Plume many times and always brilliant. Full Sunday roast today... with calamari to start, slow roasted beef brisket and mango and lemon posset to finish. Accompanied by Tribute for me, Chardonnay for my wife. Quality of the food was excellent and very generous portions. Lisa, Stuart and all staff were friendly, fun and helpful as ever. Best Sunday lunch I can remember and we are foodies who eat out alot. Also met a work colleague from many moons ago to make perfect day.Thanks!!

After a long break from visiting Portscatho due to COVID, we finally made it back to our favourite Cornwall pub to experience the food and hospitality of Roger and the team. Sunday lunch as usual did not disappoint. Amazing beef and lamb with all the trimmings, great wine accompanied with superb service. Love you guys, see you soon, Cath & Nick xx

Had a very good lunch high quality pub food.  Good value for money and really good quality.  Excellent friendly service, the waitress welcomed our dogs!  I'd been there the week before and sat outside, it's next to the road but not busy.

We ate with you twice in a three day visit, once was not enough!
Absolutely love the pub, such a warm welcome, really "buzzy" feel about the place with a genuine interest in the customers.
Pub food, as you would expect, but there is pub food and pub food and this is exceptional pub food! My partner is vegetarian and is incredibly hard to please, she though the food was fantastic.
Really well thought out menu's and epic food to back it up - what an employee Lisa is, its rare you come across people like Lisa, really genuine and nice human being! 
Also the bloke lacking in hair was a bloody nice fella as well, as was the landlady on Sunday!

Had a quick break from Devon and headed for Cornwall, stayed in this lovely pub with beautifully decorated rooms, village is beautiful and a stones throw from a fine Cornish beach, Food excellent ,and nice Cornish hospitality from all of the staff,
We will be visiting again ,if only for the breakfast which is one of the best.

What an absolutely awesome pub!!!!

Cornish Gem

Very tidy and clean rooms and really nice breakfasts and had good croissants, fruit, egg and avocado on toast. Friendly￼ staff. Great to stay in a pub in the middle of a gorgeous village in Cornwall – the place had a nice buzz to it. This could be a new favourite village and will certainly try and come back to this pub and b&b.

Once again we had a fantastic meal here. We live in Plymouth & visit Porthscatho when ever we can, always trying to fit in a meal here. All the staff & management are so friendly and helpful. This pub has such a lovely vibe about it and it runs like clockwork. Keep on doing what your doing & now we see it has dog friendly rooms Oh yes.
