Dartmoor Edge Lodge

Booked a Monday to Friday getaway here and stayed in the Belstone Lodge with hot tub. The lodge was lovely, clean and tidy and homely at the same time. There was a dishwasher and washing machine as well as tea and coffee provided along with some toiletries. The sofas and beds were comfy and one room had a beautiful dressing table. The hot tub was fantastic, private and readily available from 6pm every day. Lovely and relaxing after a long day! The staff at the golf club were welcoming, we used the driving range twice and rented a buggy and my partner went and did the 9 hole course which he said was brilliant. The clubhouse was fun, quite cheap drinks and friendly bar staff that could not do enough for you. The food in the club restaurant was beautiful the first time we visited it, I had vegetable soup to start and sea bass for main. My partner had breaded Brie to start and steak for main. The second visit was a bit of a disappointment after that because it was steak night and just seemed no where near the quality. The only other 2 things I would say were a bit of a turn off was the pool table in the clubhouse as this was £1 per game and all the queues were of very poor quality and ruined. For £1 per game I'd expect a queue that wasn't chipped or snapped. The only other thing was that there was no wifi in the lodges so you can't really watch a Netflix film or tv series in the evenings. Overall I had a lovely and relaxing time and didn't want to come home! Would recommend a visit as very good quality for £300 for 4 nights.
