I stayed here as I was on the island for work and arrived late in the evening and left early morning after a superb breakfast.
Very friendly owner who made me feel very welcome. Would definitely revisit, unfortunately they were fully booked on my return but maybe next time.

This is a first class Bed & Breakfast of extremely high standards with hosts always prepared to help with advice and information about Newport & The Island.

The Breakfast is to die for whether cooked or continental I cannot recommend A J's highly enough except to say that the only disappointment will be if you leave it too late to book here.

This bed and breakfast is simply wonderful. Jamie was really helpful and could not do enough for me. The room was spotless and stylish.The breakfast was amazing well done for creating such a lovely b and b x

Booked four rooms for my daughters wedding. Booked in October 2015 for August 2016. Less than three weeks before the wedding they cancel without any reason given. The booking was August bank holiday weekend with the scooter rally going on too. Needless to say I can not get a hotel or B&B at such sort notice at peak time. Tried to contact the hotel as booked through Booking.com but they have so far refused to reply to any communication. I am still trying to sort my issue out with accommodation. All I can say is thank you to them for ruining what should be a happy occasion. I would tell them personally but as I said they won't answer. Wouldn't even give one star but that is the minimum I'm allowed to give. Very, very poor service.

Cancels your booking at the last minute.

We paid for this B&B for overnight stay. 
Myself, my hubby and 8 yo. son. After giving my son a shower at 2120. I was about to prepare myself for a shower when I found this man in front of our bathroom door inside the family room. He came in without knocking the door. As my hubby was on the bed , under a duvet with just his pants on watching tv. My hubby said He cant stand to grab a towel as he was already there in front of him. My son just had his towel around him.  The man was very aggressive, rude, raising his voice, saying "theres a leak on my downstairs ceiling" " did you leave the shower on?"
I said i just finished giving my son a shower. I showed him the floor and the hand towel ( no bath mat provided) . The floor was not even wet and even the towel was just dump to cause a leak. Then He left the room. My husband told me the door was not locked . I said I did ! We were confused how he entered the room as  I thought I locked it. So when the man left , me and my husband was trying to figure out how the lock the door. The man came back shouting this time" what are u doing ?!" "Stop smashing the door" "You are breaking my door" . We said we are trying to figure our how to lock it, we are not smashing your door". " we are wondering how you came straight in to our room ?". The man wont listen to our explaination. Then I asked him "who are you by the way, are you the owner ?" He said angrily , "yes im the owner" "I have a leaking ceiling and I have to fix this!" With very loud voice and his 2 arms raised. I told him that your manner of not knocking the door, and raising your voice is not acceptable". "Do not blame us of your faulty drainage". He did not listen to what we were saying Then he left us. I Had to call the police. While waiting for the police. The owner never offered alternative bathroom to use. Or never told us it if its still safe to use the bathroom. Police came and we told them we want to leave the place. Left B&B at 2345 to catch the ferry back to mainland. We left the place as we felt extremely anxious and we felt its no longer safe if we stayed overnight. The next morning I had email from booking.com about "no show". 
After "no show" email. The owner sent email to booking.com twisting story around. Saying we blamed them for the leak.
