Premier Inn London Stansted Airport

Whilst my stay at the this Premier inn was as good as any stay in the vast amount of other Premier Inns I have stayed at, the parking system is a DISGRACE. The car park is a private car park and it’s a shame the Premier inn is situated here, I WILL NEVER BE STAYING HERE AGAIN due to the parking scam. I paid £25 for the parking to stay overnight on the 6th December 2024 and was then advised I could have obtained a discount, had I checked in before paying for the parking. I then paid to stay again on the 15th of December, when returning from my holiday in the early hours of the morning, arriving at approximately 01:30 and departing just 10.5hrs later. I of course obtained a discount voucher and paid £15, now totalling to £40 for my two stays. On the 17th of December, I was issued with a parking fine, with pictures of my car, this fine stating I did not have a valid parking ticket to be there. I did of course appeal and sent proof of my payment, which was accepted and acknowledged, however my appeal was rejected and the parking company stating “it appeared I’d entered the incorrect registration plate” but as a good will gesture they’d reduce the fine to £25. Having had my parking payment accepted and acknowledged I asked for proof of the appeared mistake I had apparently made but was told I could re appeal if I was not satisfied with the outcome of my first appeal via a different appeal process, however if this was also rejected I’d have to pay the full fine amount of £100, of course I received NO evidence I’d input the incorrect registration plate. Therefore I believe this parking company to be scammers. BE VERY AWARE IF YOU PARK HERE AND DOUBLE CHECK THE REGISTRATION THAT YOU ENTER.
