Hillview House BB

I've stayed at Hillview for much of the last three years whilst working in the area.  Friendly owners, fairly quiet location apart from a few boy racers at times.

For the person who had the squeaky bed I can assure them that this has been replaced.

Suffice to say I settled on this B&B and Limekilns Bistro as an alternative due to the quality of the accommodation and friendliness of the proprietors.

Spacious room with lovely big bed although I found it rather low to get in/out of.
Cooked breakfast was good with choice of cereals, toast etc too.
Spotless.
Parking also available.
Info in room re B&B itself and surrounding area would’ve been helpful.

Comfortable stay, reasonable price

This B & B  is advertised as 4 star, hence the reason for booking it. Unfortunately we felt very disappointed after staying there. Initially we were met by a gentleman who had made no effort in his appearance and looked quite scruffy. However we did arrive at 6pm and therefore he may have been in relax mode!!!! We eventually got into bed,hoping to get some sleep after a 10 hour journey,but it was not to be. The bed squeaked incessantly and everytime we moved when dozing off we were awakened by the noise. We booked for three nights but left after two, we were so tired we decided to drive home to get some sleep. I thought Bed and Breakfast meant a bed you could sleep in. The breakfast was fine but they really need to revamp their bedroom.
