Lovely little B&B, owner was absolutely lovely. We stayed in the four poster bed, such a lovely room. Did not have breakfast but I am sure it was lovely.
Not far to walk in town or train station which has the high speed train to London.
Comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Lovely little guest house not far from the town centre. The owner was great and couldn't do enough for me. The room was clean and the breakfast was awesome. Surprised its only got 3 stars i wolud of given it 4. I definitely visit again

We stayed here for one night before catching the ferry across the Channel to France. It is five minutes walking from the train station and about a half hour walk to the ferry terminal for P&O Ferries. The owner was very friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Toilet and shower were separate and very nice and clean. Towels were provided. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience the breakfast as we were catching the ferry very early. Great stay overall and would definitely come back for the comfort, hospitality and location.


I booked this B&B on Booking.com as an overnight stop prior to catching a Cruise ship the following day. The room was big enough and well appointed and equipped with everything you would need. Stella, who runs the guest house, is lovely and friendly and could not be a better host. On the way down from Sheffield we got caught up in the mayhem on the M25 after the QE2 bridge was closed due to an accident. This meant that we did not arrive until after midnight. Stella could not have been more helpful and stayed up to let us in. The breakfast the following morning was excellent. Even though we arrived late there was off street parking available to us at the front of the property. If we were to sail from Dover again we would definitely use this guest house.

Good location for the ferries and tunnel, easy access to the town for restaurants. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever enjoyed and the owners were very welcoming and pleasant. Room was fine and the whole place was very clean.

Good Stopover

We had a pleasant welcome. However, we endured a terrible sleep. Though we had a four poster room, we were next door to the shared facilities and could hear the neighbouring couple talking and slamming the toilet door throughout the night. Our ensuite facilities were probably the tiniest we have ever seen and lacked shelving to put soaps or shower gels. The shower itself was impractical given its size. The room itself was overall pleasant, however despite having a modern white four poster bed, the bedsheets looked as if they hadn't been changed for 20 years with an old red floral design. It appeared scratched and really let down the overall impression of the room. Change them to clean fresh white linen! Breakfast was okay, but only offered from 7.30 to 8.30am, despite it being a Sunday. We thought this was a bit ridiculous and in hindsight should have got up later and gone to a local cafe. Checkout is 10am which again is too early. Overall not very impressive in terms of sound insulation, decor and breakfast timings.
