One of my favourite Premier Inns. Always spotless, nice staff and has a great central position but enough steps away from any noise to be a great base for a break. Pub and food options nearby including the new Market Hall which is mainly a food court to be honest.

Amazing room, amazing staff and amazing location.  Kayleigh and her team make this place a home from home. Breakfasts are just what you need to kick start your day.  The room and bed are comfortable and the rooms are silent… what more could you ask for.  Staff are friendly and do their best to accommodate all your needs.

We love the Thyme Restaurant excellent breakfast and staff always so friendly go out of their way to look after us - we visit every Saturday and have done now for almost 2 years and love the choices for breakfast so wonderfully prepared and displayed on the bar well done and many more visits to come

The bed was unbelievably comfy and the staff lovely when checking in and walking around the hotel, saying good morning/good evening etc. 
Buses were very accessible  with less than a five minute walk to the bus station and the City Centre right on the door step :)

Nice quiet room with tea making facilities and a large comfy bed. The shower was hot and powerful. The outside of the hotel could do with a clean, either a jet wash or repainting as it did look shabby but the inside bar & restaurant area was clean and the room was spotless.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Th eonly `down point` was the long check in due top the self check in kiosks being faulty. The staff opresent would not check in our party and others until exactly 3pm when we arrived at 2.45 resulting in a large amount waiting at reception. Did it really matter if we were a wee bit early?

Great central location with car park opposite. Extensive breakfast offering and tasty dinner options available.

We booked 2 rooms for a 1 night stay, I received a call 2 days before to ask if our reservation was correct and if it was for a special occasion. I told the lady on the phone that it was for our daughter’s 21st birthday.
When we arrived we got up to our rooms and our daughter’s room had been decorated with balloons and a banner and had left a bottle of sparkling wine and a cake for her.
This was a surprise and very generous of premier inn staff.

So, we've stayed here on a number of occasions, prior to hospital appointments ( we have a 3 hour trip to get here) Normally we eat out in the city, but this time decided to eat in the Thyme restraunt on site. We were not disappointed ! Steph and John were very polite and curteous, explaining the Meal Deal to us, and answering our questions. I had the steak and ale pie, and my wife had the fish and chipe (a nice piece of haddock) both meals were lovely. We both had the prawn cocktail starter, which had lovely large prawns on it (not like the tiny cocktail prawns you usually get) We couldn't fault the service. The room was lovely, with a big TV, lovely comfortable bed and a big fluffy duvet. Nice clean hot shower. The buffet breakfast the next morning was superb, good, quality ingredients and great coffee. And secure parking is just across the road, costing £4.50 for 24 hrs (it's discounted to £3.75 if you are staying at the hotel)
All in all, a great place to stay

Having visited Derby many times and stayed at most of the city's hotels over the years I can't believe I missed this one. Definitely one of the best hotels in Derby especially given the value for money you get. Great service, really comfortable beds and a good breakfast.  Will return again soon.

The best place to stay in Derby

The service was excellent and the rooms very clean.  Dinner was very good and the breakfast options excellent. It is in the centre of Derby so shopping and food within walking distance.  The only thing that lets it down is the lack of onsite parking, parking is available nearby but you have to pay, it's is £7.50 for a day and in the nearest car park there is only about 30 spaces

Lovely and secure need door key to get upstairs and even to bar toilets
Great deal dinner 2 courses and a selected drink, £2 extra for 3rd course and breakfast  £24.99, food very good
Staff all really friendly 5 *
Only criticism and not the hotels fault that side of Derby very run down

Excellent Stay

Faultless stay!
Check in very fast with the option of using the self service check in or dealing with a team member, I opted to be checked in by a team member.
Room spotlessly clean, the welcome treats in the room were a very pleasant surprise and added the personable touch as a returning guest. I stay in hotels regularly and many could do with investing in the amazing air con system, easy to operate and worked a dream. Loved the upgraded Baylis and Harding toiletries which is a brand I use at home, when mentioned to a team member they said it would be the standard toiletries across all their hotels soon which is music to my ears.
My evening meal was a Mixed Gill which was fresh, of good quality, hot and cooked to perfection.
Breakfast was to the same high standard and was served by a bubbly team member (Mark) who took the time out to explain to me how to pay for my parking in the off site car park.

Premier Inn of Excellence…

Always stay here when visiting Derby,parked in the multi storey car park over the road and the reception will discount your card which is great and saves you loads of money on parking.Sorry didn't catch the girls name on reception but she's a credit to premier Inn so friendly and professional.....the rooms are always clean and have never had any issues...didn't eat there so can't comment on that ....but will defo be back.
