Visiting this weekend with my grandson on our trip to British GP , We had a very friendly welcome. We were shown to our room which was very nice. We had a meal in the evening with very good food and very friendly staff brilliant hospitality

Good choice

Friendly, warm welcome and fantastic food, a warm welcome from the regulars and a fantastic setting, rooms are clean and very comfortable.
I travel a lot and stay in a mixture of accommodation but I’d happily stay again.
Anyone looking for a traditional beamed pub this is for you.

Lovely friendly pub, staff were very attentive, especially the young lady who served us dinner. We had dinner bed and breakfast. Food was excellent, rooms clean and had everything you needed. It sits in a cute typically English village. 
Well worth a stay if your passing.

Overnight stay

A friendly and cozy traditional pub with large beamed en-suite bedrooms and helpful proprietors. Four of us stayed including evening meals - all three courses were delicious and extremely good value. Beds were comfortable, very quiet surroundings, showers were hot and overall highly recommended.

Great accommodation and food in a lovely village

The food and hospitality are exceptional here. Would 100% recommend going. Tables nicely set out so your not all squashed in. 
Menu had a good variety of dishes and each of the dishes tasted as good as they looked.

What a fantastic pub. A massive choice of menu for a lunchtime. Food was excellent. Staff welcoming and friendly. Pub smart and well thought out. Would highly recommend.

Cheeky Monday lunch

We stayed overnight (with our dog) at short notice. Jane and her staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Lovely, quiet, comfortable room. The food was excellent both in the evening and Sunday lunch and the Doom Bar was unbelievably good. Lovely to see the place busy and buzzing.

Just what a village pub should be like

After a property deal was delayed by a day we were left with nowhere to stay. Based on a recommendation from a friend we managed book into The Plough at short notice. Jane and her team were first class and immediately made us welcome. This Inn is stacked with character and a must for anyone with a love for the quintessential English Pub. The beautiful oak beams and stone walls are complimented with large log burning fires which make it very cosy on a chilly Autumn evening. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed and immaculately clean ensuite facilities. The restaurant is popular with the locals which speaks volumes for the excellent food. The beer was spot on which indicates that the same standards are applied to the cellar that are applied elsewhere. A very big thank you to Jane for making a stressful time very enjoyable.

An Inn full of Character.

We spent one night there and the place is spotless. Beautiful countryside building with a pub. Warm, friendly staff with impecable rooms. Just perfect!

We had the best full English breakfast we have ever had and will definitely come back!

 Excellent service. Fabulous meal, lots of food options. Duck Scotch Eggs, Chili Beef and Chocolate brownie and lovely ice cream. The meal was a great treat. Looking forward to going back!
