We have been walking to this pub for lunch with friends  on New Year’s Day for over forty years. We missed the last few years as the quality had dropped.  Under the new management it is better than it has ever been. The food was excellent, there was a wide choice of beers and very good speedy service. I thought I knew what good fish and chips was but I was wrong, This pub set a whole new level for it.

A charming country pub in a beautiful village. Very helpful and friendly staff led by Sylwia. Our room was cosy, comfortable and in excellent condition. We also enjoyed our breakfasts. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

We visited this evening for a Christmas eve meal and were very impressed with the renovations and delicious food. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we had a wonderful meal. We sat in the restaurant but the bar also looked cosy and busy. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful staff with brilliant hospitality. Made to feel very welcome, moved our table with no fuss to a table downstairs which was more convenient for a disabled member of the party.
Food was delicious would very much recommend the Tagliatelle not too rich but superb in flavour.
Battered haddock was delicious with very crispy batter and no soggy bottom.
A nice country pub, glad it has re opened.
Will definitely come again.

We love coming to this pub and, once again, had a lovely two course meal. Staff was great and helpful. Both main course and dessert were delicious! Pub is in a great location and has a cosy atmosphere.

Popped out for a quick meal and wow what a wonderful place. Served by Ellie who had found her Zen and was in top form, helpful and friendly and witty. Indie also added to the exeptional service and that was all before we had sampled the food which was without doubt “devine”. Probably the best burger and chips around.

Very nice building in a superb location, 
Staying here for work, so this review will be based on a man staying here for work.
Really great location really nice quiet room with plenty of facilities. 
Food good, no mixed grill as the chef said he would not be able to give me the meal I would like. (really appreciate the honesty)
The staff, Molly was an absolute star, looked after us and made sure we were happy and we felt as though she wanted to make our stay perfect. Ever sorted out snacks as I wouldn't be about for breakfast. 
Ellie , fantastic personality and made the wet sales increase because of her personality. 
Really enjoyed the room the ambiance and the food, the open fire the friendly locals, dog friendly too.
I would recommend this hotel/BnB as one of the best places to stay in this area.

Stayed fri/ sat for silverstone classic
The room was nice tho a bit small but bed really comfy
Bathroom roomy and good shower after sussing how to use it 
Struggled to get wifi 
The food was lovely and reasonably priced , pity we weren't really hungry for breakfasts going early to get to track but what we had was yummy
Final words for the staff who were brilliant even tho understaffed on a busy weekend , they deserved a medal and went out of their way for us 

Amazing place, in such a lovely area. We stayed for the Grand Prix this yeah and it couldn’t of been better. 

Great pub with such a lovely beer garden. Friendly and relaxed staff catered to our every need and the food was very too.

Looking forward to making this our Grand Prix hotel every year

We stayed at The Olde Coach House with our young son and met local relatives for an evening meal in the restaurant.  The team at were so welcoming and helpful. There had been a problem with our booking but a suitable solution was quickly found. The rooms were very comfortable.  The food for both dinner and breakfast was delicious. The service throughout was fantastic, friendly and knowledgable.  I would really happily return for longer to explore the local area.

Best Ever

Brilliant birthday meal.

Given 4 stars as the food was good although I had to send one dish back as it was burnt to a cinder. Menu is limited anyway but no pizzas as the oven was broken. No charcuterie or blondies either.
Service was dreadful although polite. No clearing of tables between courses. Only one member of staff on but it was not busy. No service at table. Had to wait at bar for everything.
Waited for ages for food and then had to chase them for the sauces that were supposed to come with the Tapas dishes. Think the chef can only hope with one order at a time.
Such a shame as used to be a lovely pub.

Hate to give a bad review in these hard times but …

Lovely looking building very nice staff and the Guinness was amazing room was clean and slept like a log 👍,
Only had breakfast and the poached eggs were spot on  ,
Would have loved to have seen a fire lit 🔥as it was a bit chilly

So much potential

A select simple menu, wholesome food and well priced, made all the better by our waitresses Imogen and India. Would recommend the prawn and salmon starter and the huge battered cod and chips. I am told the IPA beer was really good, although a few more wines choices would be an advantage
