The Inn on the Loch

We had orignally booked one nights stay the night before hospital appointment to be closer. However we decided a few days before to book another night and we are so glad we did. We had passed this place so many times and stayed in other places before but so sad we didnt discover this amazing place sooner. Plenty of parking and a lovely friendly welcome by the owner and reception staff. We sat in reception and enjoyed a well earned glass of wine whilst waiting for reception to finish dealing with another customer and as we sat down we felt right at home. The place inside is so spacious and offers plenty of seating to eat and enjoy a few cocktails if thats your like. The room we had was a short walk from reception and Steve bigged it up so much we didnt know what to expect and we were definately NOT disappointed. Good quality doors and little tweaks like the lights automtically go on when you enter the ensuite. Lovely detail to the sink being a different shape and then mirror surround also a nice touch. Soft huge bed and had great nights sleep had by all. Nice touch to have the light switches on the headboard and La Creme de La Creme ...a beautiful balcony overlooking the Loch. Absolutely stunning . Nice to be able to have a quiet drink on the balcony as we arrived on a dry fresh night and watched the wildlife on the Loch and in the skies and watched the sun going down. Off to dinner and we had bottle of Chardonnay with the meal and one afterwards and the prices are extremely reasonable. Starter for me was the Carrot and Corriander and coconut soup served with a lovely wholesome roll and hubby had the Breaded Mushrooms. Very plentiful and well tasty. Mains Hubby loves seafood anytime and he had the Seafood Linguine Pasta and the sauce was creamy and beautiful it was certainly amongst the best he has had . I had the Beef and Ale pie and what a feed so you wont go hungry. Pie filling lush with loads of meat and really good old fashioned flavour. After dinner a wee sit by the fire to enjoy our second bottle of wine. Pictures to follow. After an emotional appointment at the hospital was nice to know we didnt have far to go to just chillax and have dinner and watch the sun set on our balcony again. Such a spectacular place and cant wait to have a return visit. Thanks guys for an amazing experience!!!
