What a unique hotel this one is ! Situated on the edge of town in a bit of a run down looking area, first impressions aren’t great, with latest check in 6pm and photo ID required upon entry it’s all a little bit questionable at first. However, the lady behind reception was pleasant enough and check in was fast. In fact, I’ve stayed in 5 star places with snooty staff, I prefer real people in general, treat people as you would like to be treated . I was curious about the local area she happily gave me lots of info. Entering the main building, it’s a bit like walking into an old office block rather than a hotel, with big heavy doors and an emphasis on security, seemed clean and functional though, just not very ‘ hotel like ‘. Room itself was fine though, with a big TV on the wall, large shower and fully equipped kitchen, again, seemed pretty clean. Drink glasses were spotless, always a good sign. The only reason I probably wouldn’t stay again, I live 200 miles away and it’s not worth the risk of the 6pm check in deadline, but the place gets a 5* revue for doing the basics right and at a great price.
