My sister and I stayed in the private suite of the Mill for a couple of nights. We love Corbridge anyway but this was the icing on the cake. A unique and peaceful building, our suite was a lovely self-contained apartment, thoughtfully appointed with great attention to detail. A treat to come back to at the end of the day. The grounds are extensive and beautiful, bound by a very dramatic river. From here you can follow that river on a pleasant 30 minute walk into Corbridge, an otherwise 5 minute car journey. Our attentive host Susan was a mine of local information and ready to help if need be. We were loath to leave and look forward to a return visit sometime in the future.
