York Lakeside Lodges

We have just returned from a week’s stay in Rowan Lodge. It was very comfortable with everything you could wish for. I have Multiple Sclerosis so don’t move around too well so Rowan Lodge suited us down to the ground! Hubby is a fisherman and he enjoyed being able to fish not far from the lodge – he caught a 23lb carp too so that was great! There were various members of staff busying themselves around the site, all very friendly and helpful. We must say a special thank you to Pete & Sarah though. On Friday hubby had a medical issue that resulted in an ambulance being called out to us. He was whisked off to York Hospital for tests. As I don’t walk very well, both Pete & Sarah kept popping by to see me to make sure I was ok and would help with anything needed – which included shutting the lodge door for me to stop the geese from bringing the whole family in took around! Pete even collected hubby from hospital when he was given the all clear! Really above and beyond anything we were expecting! Hopefully we will return next year to this wonderful place.
