The Food= Two halloumi and chips, don’t let the picture fool you the portion was an entire block you would get a Tesco, chips cooked well and a fresh salad. Fives stars 

The Drink= 
Good non alcoholic options. 
Beer, Good for the locals not so good if you like hoppy London brewery beers like brew dog or Camden. 

The Staff= The lady at the bar was really friendly and seemed to actually enjoy engaging with you.

Lovely

Our experience was truly delightful. The warm hospitality and lovely garden area made our stay all the more enjoyable. The food was exceptional and offered at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this experience to others.

Excellent Food and friendly Atmosphere 

Fantastic, quaint and most of all, friendly historic pub just off the main square in lovely Henley on Thames. Good selection of drafts and gins along with pub food that is tasty and delicious. Our second visit here along with my wife. We were delighted to see the owner once again, who like us, has New Jersey USA roots. You can't go wrong popping in here whether it be for dinner or just afternoon cocktails like we did. One of our favorite pubs in all of the UK.

Warm and Friendly as Always.

First discovered the Old Bell during Covid lockdowns and enjoyed some tasty takeaways. Been a couple of times since then for breakfasts and no complaints there. Decided to eat there on New Years Eve. So glad we did. As friendly and welcoming as ever. Excellent service. Food delicious, and generous portions. Personally I had the ‘smoked pulled beef brisket loaded fries’. I can safely say it’s one of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever eaten, anywhere. 
Definitely need to get back sooner next time.

Would definitely recommend. The roast beef was superb and my guests had other meals .All superb and first class service. Amply car parking space and great garden .the staff could not do enough to provide a great afternoon .

Great food great friendly service 

We’ve visited The Old Bell three times in the last two years, twice on my birthday for breakfast. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and found her super funny! She has a wonderful charm that makes you chuckle. We both had a lovely leisurely breakfast which was great! She found out from my friend that it was my birthday and brought out a slice of chocolate cake with a candle in it. Bottom line for us is the food is great but the owners and staff are fab! Great local pub.

Had an excellent dinner with some friends at the Old Bell, Wooburn. 
The food was excellent, fresh and delicious and the accompanying wine and beer excellent too!

The staff where personable and very patient with us while we dithered over the menu!

Excellent visit to the Old Bell

The Old Bell in Wooburn Green is a lovely little local pub serving gorgeous freshly cooked food & a great selection of drinks. 
In summer they also have an out door BBQ which is equally amazing. 
We’ve been in there several times & we always receive a very warm welcome from the landlady & all her staff. 
Very highly recommended!!!

Dinner & drinks.

We live in a neighbouring village and count this as an outstanding pub in our local area. Firstly, the staff: incredibly kind, attentive, welcoming and just a joy to chat to really. This much underrated quality isn’t something you can learn at Hospitality school, you’ve either got it or you haven’t really and Danielle and her team have definitely got it! Then the food and drink, which is delicious and great value too. I’m almost loath to let others in on a bit of a local secret but the Old Bell is THE place for breakfast. Summer in the fantastic terraced and shaded garden, or cosy inside during the winter, you will not find better. We’ve eaten in just about every cafe, pub and eatery for miles around and the Old Bells Classic English cooked breakfast is a stand out signature type dish for sure. But also try their Piri  Piri style Brockwurst, it’s very good too although bring your appetite because they’re both generously portioned. The coffee is seriously good, I believe it’s from The Flying Bean who have an excellent local area reputation from Beaconsfield to Marlow and Maidenhead. Equally though it’s a great pub for a drink, serving local brews as well as international brands plus mulled wine and winter warmers (it feels lovely and Christmassy currently!). Dog friendly too, it’s a beautiful old Tudor timbered pub that’s been serving it’s community for centuries. And if you’re travelling up the M40, I’d forget Beaconsfield services, because picturesque Wooburn Green is just 5 mins off Junction 3 and The Old Bell has plenty of car parking for a quick break, with a beautiful park and ancient church adjacent for a quick stretch of the pooches legs. It’s what I call a proper English pub, and the current owners have made it a wonderful place to pop into as a passing traveller, regular or to book for a celebratory event. We feel lucky to have it nearby and enjoy our visits every time as does everyone we speak to about. Thank you!

Wonderfully Warm Welcome & Delicious Food

I live local to this pub but have only started coming here regularly for the past three months. On every occasion we have been warmly welcomed by the landlady who is extremely attentive and helpful. She clearly takes great pride in her pub and goes out of her way to accommodate you.
When I have come just for a couple of pints we have been offered any table we wish (contrary to a previous review I saw)  even offering the large 6 seat table when there was only 2 people.
We had a Sunday roast with cousins three weeks ago which everyone agreed was amazing. The meat was cooked perfectly, loads of home made gravy and Yorkshire puddings the size of my head! It beat my previous favourite (the royal standard Forty Green). Last night we ate with several couples for my birthday. Again amazing service and food. An excellent cut of fillet steak cooked to perfection, (Chequers in Marlow now has a rival!!).
There are now three great pubs in the heart of Wooburn Green but The Old Bell tops them for me due to the high quality of food but most importantly the warm and friendly welcome from staff that are willing to make the effort to come and talk to you.
A proper, friendly, locals, village pub with the benefit of superb food. I couldn’t ask for any more!
