7 of us had an overnight at this lovely old inn. It was great, rooms lovely and warm and fresh, food was great especially the breakfast. Staff were amazing so friendly , an absolute delight. Thank you all so much.

We stayed here for one night. It was a lovely place with a warm and friendly welcome. The bar area was cosy with a inglenook fireplace with sofas either side. We had an evening meal which was lovely and massive portions and reasonably priced. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated with a huge bed which was so comfy and a lovely bathroom with and added bonus of a whirlpool bath.
 We would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again.

Highly recommend the Hawk and Buckle. Seen many different owners over the years with good and bad experiences but have to say now it’s just about right.
Ate last night - beef stroganoff and scampi, food all home cooked with proper chips, hot and tasty, sat in the bar with the dog - lovely atmosphere and cosy comfortable surroundings.
Staff super helpful and friendly and kind (thanks again for the lemon!) will be back soon and look forward to another roast dinner in the next couple of weeks.

After spending an hour looking for a place to eat and being turned away from a good half dozen fully booked pub/restaurants we stumbled on the Hawk and Buckle. What an excellent find.
The service was pleasant and unhurried, the food delicious and very good value.
We thoroughly recommend this pub/restaurant.

After not visiting the Hawk for a while (due to Chef leaving), we went for a drink last night, saw that they were serving food and thought we would give them a try.. We were certainly glad we did! 
It was steak night, so sirloin steak with all the trimmings for £15, cooked beautifully. 
BBQ chicken again, very tasty, although my partner found it slightly on the small side - but he does have a big appetite!
Veggie curry, very flavoursome, weird to have a salad with it, but with the flavours in the curry sauce - it certainly shouldn’t put you off ordering! 
Vegan lasagne described as the tastiest lasagne he has ever had! 

Reasonable pricing.

My husband and I stayed at the Hawk and Buckle for two nights last week. We had a fabulous stay, our room was comfortable and very spacious. It’s a fabulous family run business, everyone was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a very friendly welcome from Eirian and that continued throughout our stay. All our meals were great, we ate both in in the bar and restaurant and each meal was so tasty. Breakfast was fabulous, all fresh and local produce and superbly cooked, views overlooking the countryside onto the sea made it!! Thank you so much Eirian, we look forward to seeing you and your family soon 😊

This pub/restaurant has arisen from the ashes, and has a very homely and friendly bar with log burner keeping it welcoming and relaxing, with a pleasant dining room at the back. The staff are always attentive and friendly, and the food, while being good pub grub, is very good and nicely served, and is very good value. Recommend "Steak Night" on Wednesdays. Village pubs are an important part of our society, particularly in the countryside, and The Hawk and Buckle does it well.

Had lovely stay here. Myself husband and teenage daughters. Excellent base for walkers or if you prefer to relax the bar and snug area are great to chat with others or sit and read your favourite book. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great and evening meal was excellent. Rooms are warm and beds are comfortable.  Will definitely book again. Thankyou or having us.

Lovely pub, with good food and board, in a very sweet welsh village, made all the better by the delightful hosts. A rustic pub with low wooden beams, comfy sofas, roaring fire, friendly locals - the perfect place to relax in after a long walk in the Welsh countryside. Thank you very much, highly recommend and will revisit in the future.

Stayed for two nights in this lovely 17th century building. Made to feel very welcome and happy with our room. Breakfast was spot on and we were lucky that food was served on the Thursday and Friday nights we stayed. This lovely Inn is off the beaten track, in lovely rural surroundings but we visited Denbigh, Llandudno and Conway during our stay

Welcoming and cozy

This is a traditional village inn with rooms. The standard double room was smart and simply furnished, and the bathroom had a bath and a good overhead shower.
The restaurant was operating a 'reduced menu' due to staff shortages, but it offered a good choice of pub food which was well-presented and served in a reasonable time.
The car park is across the road from the pub, in a small walled area.
We needed to make an early start the next morning, and the staff were happy to prepare a full cooked breakfast (and it was excellent!) at 07.30 on a Sunday morning.
Fortunately I took our luggage across to the car before breakfast, and found we had been blocked-in by the inconsiderate parking of another guest. Despite not having registration numbers recorded with each booking, the resourceful host discovered the identity of the car's owner and woke them up to move the car.
We had a brief but enjoyable stay, and will definitely use the Hawk and Buckle again next time we visit this lovely part of North Wales. Thank you!
