Absolutely beautiful food. Couldn't fault anything. The service was good. Lovely friendly staff.
Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. Would love to stay at the hotel and try their breakfasts.


Sunday evening dinner stop. Bright & airy restaurant but perhaps benefit from a little modernisation.  The meals, my wife chose the steak & ale pie which she says was excellent. It was full of good chunks of beef. I chose the Sunday roast. The slices of beef were generously cut & there were ample vegetables for us to share. For sweets we chose jam roly poly & were delighted to find it was of a traditional suet recipe and not just jam roll cut up as we have experienced in many other places. The staff were friendly and overall we were more than satisfied with our evening here. 

Really lovely meal. This is our 2nd year in Tenby and we made a bee line for the overlander as we had enjoyed the food previously.

The food is still top notch: the mussels starter is obviously fresh I.e a few non openers in there, not the vac packed portions you can buy from Lidl and a large portion. Main was chicken in feta and my partner had mushroom pasta. We were stuffed by the end. It's a family run business I understand and it shows.

Stayed a week with  elderly disabled mother and brother. All the staff, especially the owner were kind and accommodating. Rooms clean, breakfast excellent, I am missing my kippers! Two real ales at the bar was a welcome surprise. Ate there three times, honest homecooked food, good selection. Recommend the beef pie. Beach is 10 mins walk, maybe less. Tenby is 5 mins drive. But you could walk, if able bodied, in 20mins along paths, An excellent Base to explore Pembrokeshire.

Glad to see this business survived the pandemic, its been just over 3 years since we were last here and it's still fab.  Great location, awesome beach to walk into town, lovely staff and fabulous food.  This is our go to when visiting Tenby, we tend to go slightly out of season normally but to be honest it wasn't too busy down there this week.   Definitely recommend the restaurant for your evening meal, food is fan, brekkie isn't too shabby either.

A wonderful place to stay. 2 miles from Tenby. The owners are so friendly, as are the staff. The rooms are well appointed and all are ground floor. The food is home cooked and excellent. The car park is large, and of course free. There is a patio area for those summer drinks. The railway station is next door and a bus service close by. However parking is cheap in Tenby. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Clean, comfortable, friendly and a great location for Tenby

We had a great nights stay. The staff were very friendly, we enjoyed a lovely evening meal, and the breakfast was amazing. The local area is very pictureresque. We enjoyed our walks. Thanks for the tips on going to Stackpole, simply beautiful.

Nice, modern, clean & tidy mini hotel with friendly staff. Absolutely nothing to do with the hotel, the train into Tenby was cancelled so we had to get a taxi - no big problem, but failed to get a taxi back at 12.30 unless we wanted to wait an hour so had a nice two mile walk!! Other than the transport issues it was a pleasant stay with no issues.

The hotel was lovely and immaculately clean, the hosts were very friendly and attentive.Really close to the beach and only a short walk in to the town.I shall be staying again next time I go to Tenby.This hotel is very good value for money and I will be recommending to friends and family.

Good meals, Good experience

Food is excellent

Recommended family run bed and breakfast 

We spent four nights in the hotel. It was very clean and in a good position for walking along the beach to Tenby (footpath next to station carpark) or overland (second footpath past station).
The breakfast was fresh and tasty.
Our room with a ‘sea view’ (very distant) was large but we kept hitting our heads on the sloping roof. We put our pillows at the foot of the bed and slept that way round-much better for our heads!
The corridors were used for storage which was a pity.
Parking was good. 
The waitresses were very friendly.

Pleasing stay in Penally with my partner.

Overall I have stayed in better places but I have stayed in worse. Rooms were modern and real lovely bathrooms. There was some dust in the room (sorry a bit too much watching if Four in a Bed makes us look for such things). Fantastic breakfast all cooked fresh. Disappointed that bar was closed when we got back at around 10:45 on Saturday evening.
