Lovely countryside pub with a family feelExcellent restaurant as well

The rooms were cosy and comfortable. Nice shower modern bathroom . Food good. Staff very pleasant .

A really hospitable place. Clean, tidy, orderly and comfortable.Food and breakfast really good quality.

We had a very fun stay at the nags head in. The food was absolutely excellent. The service was great very friendly staff and do the owner and Zoe the night manager assisted us with some travel issues that we had.

Service was very good, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms nice enough if snug and a little too warm in the night. Even though was over pub was not disturbed by noise. Breakfast was exceptional

A beautiful pub in a serene setting with great food and hospitality. My wife had to go to A&E whilst we were there and Zoe looked after us incredibly.

Lovely stay and setting by the river.  We had an evening meal which we really enjoyed along with a good selection of wines and beers.  We were late for breakfast and they were really accommodating to ensure that we had breakfast before we checked out.  Would gladly eat and stay again and would recommend.

Convenient location for what we wanted to do.Friendly and helpful staff.Nice room with tea and coffee and water in the room.Food was amazing and great that the breakfast was included in the price Plenty of parking spaces.And a nice and clean outside area by the river.

A lovely country pub with plenty of character. Our room overlooking the river and beer garden was very clean and superbly comfortable. Beer and food was excellent. Dewi and Zoe are very nice hosts and can't wait to stay there again.

Best food we have eaten out in such a long time. We went two days running with our three small girls and staff were extremely accommodating. The roast was incredible - as was the vegetarian option. The flavours were incredible. Children’s meals were great too. Gobbled up quickly and big smiles for a seal of approval. The pub is 5 minutes from Clydey Cottages - owned by the same couple - where we stay every year. The team have clearly got it right as standards are so high in both venues. We will be back again and again. Thank you!

Lovely old property in a very beautiful spot with lovely outside seating area by the river.We stayed 1 night in a room which was nice with a large bathroom.Good selection for breakfast. Zoe was very friendly.Reason why i didnt score it a 5 was due to disturbed sleep which i know cannot be helped by the owner but still affected us. Could hear snoring all night in the room next to us and people moving around in their rooms throughout the nightI would have thought for a building of that age the walls would have been a lot thicker.

Best food!

Staying for two nights, we were very impressed with the welcome by Zoe, who continued to be attentive and helpful throughout our stay: her colleagues too were efficient and hard working, making our evening and breakfast meals pleasurable. The chef has put together an imaginative and well priced menu, with high quality ingredients and skilled preparation. The dining room decor and furniture make for a comfortable environment and the background music is thankfully quiet and non intrusive - just right!
Our bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and nicely appointed, with good quality shower products, and it was nice to have refills of teas, coffees etc. left outside the room for our second night.
Nothing was too much trouble at The Nags Head, and for our visiting local guests a taxi was arranged for after our evening meal, a birthday celebration, for which the staff kindly organised a birthday banner at the table, along with a decorated dessert.
If I could make a small suggestion, it would be to add Muesli and fresh fruit to the breakfast cereal option, but don't alter the Full Welsh Breakfast - it is perfect!

Very Impressed with The Nags Head

Myself and my partner went tonight and oh my god, hands down the BEST meal we have had in a very long time. The pub its self is so beautiful and romantic very oldy worldly and candle lit, with the food having a modern twist. The staff were very attentive and polite, nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely return when we visit Wales again. Highlight of the evening was a Rose given to me by my partner who requested one from the lovely lady behind the bar.

Best meal in a long time

We stayed here for a night to go to a friends surprise 70th birthday party that was being held at the pub and everything was perfect - the room we stayed in and the delicious breakfast as well as the rooms we had for the party and the absolutely fabulous meal. Faultless. I would thoroughly recommend a trip to the Nags Head - either for a stay or to just have a scrumptious meal. Thank you to everyone there for all that you did for us.

Room was clean, tidy and well appointed. The weather didn’t allow it but will be back to utilise the outside space overlooking the river for some dinner and drinks

Lovely little find

Been a while since we have visited due to various family members visiting us for a stay during the summer months.  We had a fantastic Sunday lunch, we will not be leaving it so long now the winter months are fast approaching for our next visit.  Spotlessly clean, very friendly and helpful staff plus fantastic food, what more could you ask for!  Thankyou everyone.

We had a lovely stay at the Nag’s. The room was clean and cozy. The bed was really comfy with a great shower. Loved their own toiletries too. We had dinner too, which was sublime- we nearly licked the plates clean it was so good! Breakfast the next day also superb. All staff friendly and welcoming, would highly recommend. Fabulous stay

We were visiting the area and got taken here by friends. What an absolutely wonderful pub! Perfect location, looks charming, beer garden under the trees. Inside has a cosy feel to it. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Great choice of beers. And the best bit? The food! A menu that made choosing what to have very difficult! Best pub I’ve been to in years. Thank you Dewi.
