Colleague and me stayed here this week whilst working in Kendal, Anna could not have been more helpful from the start, we received a very friendly welcome and she was always there if needed, fantastic service, accommodation was fantastic, great location and just a short walk into Kendal town centre, the rooms were very nicely decorated and very comfortable, the guest house has a guest lounge which is a very nice feature, 
Would Definetly recommend this to anyone needing accommodation in Kendal  

The Sundial Guest House is located on the main A6 road into town.  There is a lane beside the main road where you can stop to drop off bags and passengers but parking is at the back so it's a good idea to use Google Streetview to locate it before you arrive.  The proprietors were very friendly and helpful and everything I needed was in the room.  It's a pleasant walk to town where there is a great variety of food and entertainment or there is a bus stop opposite if it is raining. It is exceptional value for the level of comfort and I shall return.

I was solo fell walking and needed to base myself in Kendal, so on the recommendation of a friend I booked in at the Sundial.A very clean,tidy,well maintained guest house with Sue being very friendly and informative as to local places to see and visit.10 minute walk to the town centre can be broken by a stroll by the river Kent

Arrived quite late on a rainy night, must admit it was not easy to find but maybe that is just me, I was directed to the rear of the property and was met by a torch waving Andrew to show me the parking place, Room was on the top floor (6) quite small with a shared bathroom/ shower but the view was amazing and very quite, wifi is good so all in all it was perfect for our needs, full english breakfast was delicious and a kickstart for the day, 10 minute walk to the town centre and 5 minute walk for your evening meal at The Romney pub/ restaurant, highly recommend the Sundial guest house, well done Sue and Andrew.

My wife and I had ridden 43 miles on the hottest day of the year so far (32 deg C) with jelly legs and a smart phone, we found this place. The reviews were good and we booked and paid 5 minutes before arrival. Sue met us and locked our bikes away in a secure garage and showed us to our room. Ground floor, legs wouldn't take the stairs! Comfy bed, cool room, tea and coffee stuff, T.V. WiFi and en-suite shower room. A sheet covered with a quilt, brilliant for the hot weather. All spot on. Within walking distance of town and all amenities. Quiet house overnight and woke to a nice freshly cooked breakfast with decent coffee. Easy check out and bikes already set up ready to roll. Maybe next time , wait for cooler weather, cycle less and realise we are not twenty somethings anymore but approaching sixty somethings!!
