The Station Inn

The biggest compliment that I can give The Station Inn is that when I was leaving, I didn't want to go. As a "Southern" city dweller I had never heard of Ribblehead or experienced the stunning beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. The accommodation at the Pub was excellent, spotlessly clean, spacious rooms, great views and a better shower than most hotels in London. The staff were brilliant, attentive, welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Great selection of beer (a cold one after navigating Whernside Peak didn't hit the sides). As for the food, delicious "proper pub" food, how it should be done with very generous portions. Will definitely return next year to take on Ingleborough and Pen-Y-Ghent. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

Very welcoming staff and wonderful food in a special location. The pub is just 100m or so from Ribblehead train station and perfectly situated for exploring the viaduct and Yorkshire three peaks. My room was on the small side but the bed was extremely comfortable and had lovely bedding.

We stayed for two nights to experience some of the fabulous local walking and enjoy a proper pub stay. The staff were super friendly, helpful and laid on some cracking food - perfect for a hungry walker! Great selection of beer including superb local ales and a real cosy atmosphere. The room was clean with a strong hot shower and tea/coffee/biscuits plus amazing views of the Ribblehead viaduct and surrounding moors.

Absolutely fantastic pub ! The food was brilliant - fresh , full of flavour and beautifully presented . The staff were also welcoming , friendly and attentive , which made the whole experience even better . A great atmosphere all round , whether you are stopping in for a meal or just a drink . Highly recommend to anyone looking for excellent food and wonderful service . Cant wait to come back

We stayed at the Station Inn for a couple of nights earlier this month and couldn't have enjoyed it more. A place with a huge amount of character , in the most idyllic of settings with service that couldn't be more friendly. Accommodation was perfect for a walking break and the food was an experience in itself with very generous portions. Perfect for anyone wanting a walking break or some time away in the most beautiful for surroundings. We hope to be back soon!

I parked my camper in the carpark to stay overnight.This is a free service with access to a toilet and wash basin. All they ask is that you eat in the pub which is I think a fair deal. There is also a tap to fill up your drinking water.

Everything you could ask for in a country pub mid winter, a warm fire and warm welcome.
Food portions were massive which out faced me but would suit a younger hungry hiker.
Beer was a little pricey but I am a Yorkshire man and that's the world we live in these days. Not complaining because it's nice to treat yourself to a decent pint rather than some of the dish water they serve at some of the larger city bars,I'd rather have one decent pint than two rubbish ones!!!

Wonderful visit. The pub has a lovely, lively atmosphere and stunning views. We were made very welcome and sat near the toasty open fire. The decor is just as a pub should be in my view. The food was excellent. My fish and chips were fresh and hot and my husband’s steak pie looked and smelt delicious, packed full with lean beef. We will definitely return. Thank You.

Came with my wife. We stayed in the car park with our camper was greeted by the manager/ landlady lindsie she was amazing she let us know it was free to park there stayed the night. We went for a chilly walk around the viaduct it was spectacular well worth going. We then later went to have a meal what great food they have there big plates so be prepared to be filled up. It was a night they had bingo we didn’t play but so much fun hearing  the manager/ landlady called the numbers out she’s a good laugh. All in all the staff were amazing. The food was filling and big portions they even had a roaring fire we will definitely come back. Thank you for making our trip fun.

After an awful day of our train being stranded due to a storm the guys at the station inn couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Rustling up food for us at 11.30pm and keeping the bar open longer.

Jumped off the train on the way back from Appleby for a couple of pints in this amazing place, overlooking the Ribblehead Viaduct - great views.  Really good selection of beers and even though we didn't eat the food looked very good

Having seen this place pop up on lots of campervan groups we wanted to give it a try. 

The car park does get quite busy so had to wait to get a space. However it was free to stay the night when eating in the pub. They also provide 24 hour access to toilets which was nice too. The food in the pub was delicious and portion sizes were decent! We will definitely be visiting again. 

The only thing to note is that there is ZERO phone signal. Which is fine if you are prepared for it…I was not had had to get last minute emergency contacts in place for my child who was away 😂. There is however wifi in the pub.

Stunning Views

The food is just outstanding here. I’ve eaten numerous of times here at the station inn. It’s warm, friendly and the staff and happy to help out at anytime. My friend ordered a roast beef dinner on Sunday he said it was one of the best roast dinners he has ever had eating out. to top the table the open fire just tops this pub off.

What a super cosy pub! Came here after a wintery walk with my friend Hannah. Sadly we had both had a couple of falls and were quite injured, God bless our souls. The pub had a lovely Christmassy feel to it. We got mulled wine, mince pie and shared some cheesy chips, nachos and garlic mushrooms which were simply delightful. And, of course, it was in a wonderful location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
