Warm welcome from the host Caron, very friendly. A good sized room, comfortable bed and clean throughout. Bathroom with cubical shower. Excellent hearty breakfast. We would return to this B&B. Good parking or permit parking available if unable to get a spot on the drive. Quiet area close to the City Centre.  We were visiting Carlisle Racecourse which is 3 miles away.

Fantastic stay in Carlisle close to the Hadrians Wall path we were walking. Lovely room and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Recommended booking this accommodation if you’re heading through Carlisle. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely stay with the best freshly made breakfast I’ve had in ages and beats hotel offerings in the area. Quick and easy walk to centre in a lovely area and some fab restaurants close by. One to stop at if you need to stay in Carlisle centre 👌👌

A really excellent bed & breakfast with lovely rooms, comfy bed and lovely breakfast. Good location not far from town centre and riverside walkway. Caron is a lovely host who makes you feel really at home

I stayed in the Warwick Lodge Guest House in mid January. It was easy to find and not far from the railway station. As a woman on my own, I was pleased to be in a lovely tree lined street in a nice area. Caron's welcome was warm and friendly and I love how she's decorated. My room was spacious, so comfortable and I would go so far as to say it was luxurious. The en suite shower room was perfectly fine. Everything was pristine and spotless. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast - I am a fussy customer and got exactly what I asked for. If I need to go to Carlisle again, this is definitely where I will be staying. Thank you, Caron

Lovely host and good breakfast in a really accessible location

A lovely old house a short walk from the train station and convenient to a number of restaurants and a great pub.  The breakfast the proprietor makes is great.

Cool decor for an old schoolhouse. Great breakfast and we slept well in comfortable beds/room.

A gem of a guest house

First Class B&B

Caron your host is wonderful, and very helpful ,friendly and does amazing breakfast . There is a collective mix’s of art work at Warwick Lodge always something to look at. The bedroom was large and well equipped with everything you will need, bed was comfortable and had a great night sleep. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing place to stay

Spotless, welcoming, perfectly adequate. Conveniently located. Other guests were overheard at breakfast quietly approving.

OK, you'll look in vain for a jacuzzi, a helipad and tennis courts here but I honestly don't know how, or indeed why, Caron does it for the cost but I'm so glad both that she does and that I found Warwick Lodge (by chance) on a brief business visit.

I expect to be back for similar reasons and if so this will be my first choice.

Honest, welcoming, friendly, very good.

The Hotel was easy to find. Karen was very welcoming, helpful and informative. The hotel was large, clean and the room spotless and well equipped. Comfortable beds and lovely thick curtains and blinds if you wanted total darkness. Breakfast was at a good time with plenty of selection. Would definitely stay again if in that area.

Lovely B&B

I had a nice, brief stay here while hiking Hadrian's Wall in September 2023. The host, Caron, was very welcoming and accommodating, allowing me and another hiker to check in early when we both happened to arrive at the same time, around an hour earlier than the official check-in time. The Lodge is located in a quiet, residential location, but within quick and easy access to all the Carlisle has to offer, as well as a brief walk off Hadrian's Wall Path. It was the perfect spot to spend the night after logging in the miles from Bowness-on-Solway. If I were to come back to Carlisle for another visit, I would certainly stay here again!

Nice Lodgings in Carlisle

From our arrival to our departure, we had a wonderful relaxing three night stay at the Warwick Lodge. We were made to feel so welcome by the owner that we felt at home straight away. Such a lovely lady!

Our room was really clean and spacious with a lovely bay window, I loved the decor! The bed was comfy and there was always hot water for a shower. Great choice of viewing on the television for when it’s really wet outside. I binged watched a series between going out for dinner x 3 and walking the coastline! And the breakfast…… always perfectly cooked and delicious!

I’ve never been to Carlisle before, but I would happily come back again and again!
It’s a very friendly place to visit 😊

Wish we’d stayed longer 

A perfect place to stay for my work visit to Carlisle. The welcome from the owner was warm and friendly and I felt immediately comfortable and relaxed there. The bed was comfortable and shower hot and really poweful. Everywhere was very clean.

The guest house is in a nice area and just 5-10 minutes walk into town. I'd definitely hope to book here again if I return to the area.

Warwick Lodge - looking anywhere else you can dodge.

Came for a football match, stayed the night. Lovely place. The lady that ran the place was so nice and very friendly. Breakfast was brilliant, plenty of great quality food and very fresh. Place was nice and clean, as well as lovely decor. Bed was super comfy. Rooms where a good size. Had everything we wanted. Located perfectly between the football ground and the town centre. Me and my partner said we would very much like to come back here, and we would both recommend Warwick lodge to anyone. 11/10

Perfect!!!

I stayed at Warwick Lodge for 3 nights, and it was excellent , I had a single room ,which was small but more than adequate  location is  perfect , an easy walk to town, and numerous restaurants , Carol the host is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious.  A great place to start if you are walking Hadrians Wall,  I stayed in Carlisle,  caught the bus to Bowness  and walked back to Carlisle , I highly recommend this as an excellent guest house
