Amazing Foxhill Wedding!!

We had a 2 night stay at foxhill for our wedding. Guests stayed at the fish, also part of the estate. 

From the venue to the food and most importantly the staff, everything was beyond a 5 star experience. All the bar staff and house team couldn’t do enough for us. Special thanks to Georgie for organising the whole thing .

The fox is classed as a home away from home and that is exactly every stay feels! Amazing place that will hold special memories of n our hearts forever

We booked Foxhill Manor exclusively for three days to celebrate our milestone 50th birthdays and 25th wedding anniversary, and it was flawless from start to finish.

From the elegant black-tie dinner on Friday to Saturday’s incredible party with a live band, and a relaxed Sunday walk to Broadway Tower for champange afternoon tea, everything was beautifully executed. When most of our guests arrived early for a falconry show, the staff didn’t miss a beat, keeping us well-stocked with wine and helping us host a spontaneous pre-party in the sun!

Callum led the weekend with charm and precision, and every staff member went above and beyond. Special thanks to Georgie, who organised everything in the lead-up and ensured every detail was spot on, including the brilliant band recommendation.

The service was consistently five-star and full of heart. Foxhill Manor is a stunning venue, but it’s the people who make it truly extraordinary. We couldn’t have asked for a better place — or team — to celebrate such a special occasion.

We spent 2 nights here over Easter, the location and grounds, the building, the rooms and service were all magnificent. Special mention to Matt and his team for making our stay extra special, wish I could name them all, the only other name I recall was Ula the chambermaid, and like all the members of Matt's team, you could tell that she took a particular pride in her work with genuine conversation; well done to all of you.

A fantastic, novel and highly recommended experience! Foxhill Manor offers a novel experience in that it is relaxed so there is no need to dress up for meals, you can eat what you want, whenever you want and enjoy the scenery and services any time. 

The support team could not be more helpful, offering advice where appropriate, and really look for how they can deliver the best experience. For example, there is a suggested menu on a board so it’s absolutely fresh, then make it clear you can order anything and you can eat anywhere in the grounds. 

We found it better than advertised on the basis it’s on a 500 acre estate which includes Hook restaurant, Dormy House with all their associated facilities available to you. 

A treasure trove of a place!

Wow. Where do I even start! From the moment we pulled up until the minute we left, the team at Foxhill could not do more for you. The relaxed, yet welcoming & personal service hugely adds to your whole experience. 

Grace and George looked after us for the most part and they are both a huge credit to Foxhill. Genuinely kind, caring people who want you to have the best time. George’s passion for wine and his carefully curated wine cellar was a huge bonus for us, and his recommendations were bang on point. 

The food!!! I cannot put into words how amazing the food is. Consistently! It’s real food, cooked with the best produce, with interesting flavours. Not too fussy. Proper food, great portion sizes. It actually makes me a bit emotional thinking about how amazing it all was. The gambas, the dauphinoise, the cote de boeuf, the monkfish, the rhubarb crumble… gosh, it was all insane. Even the toastie and soup for lunch was everything you could ever ask for! 

We went to Dormy House for a few hours, and I had one of the best facials I’ve ever had. Such a lovely treat having it just 5 minutes away and George drove us there and collected us. 

Back to Foxhill - the outdoor sauna and hot tub!! What a touch. A cheeky bottle of champagne in there pre dinner was such fun! The help yourself bar in the lounge - just brilliant! And in general the drinks on offer as part of the full fox are truly premium. Not to forget the pantry, full of sweets, crisps, drinks & popcorn!

By far, the best break away in England that we have ever had. I cannot wait to come back!!

Foxhill manor is incredible. Absolutely wonderful. We had a fantastic experience.

We stayed for two nights under their Full Fox package.

Everything was perfect.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were pampered, cared for, and treated like valued guests (rather than customers). The staff could not have been more welcoming, more helpful, or more attentive. The hospitality was amazing. 

We were asked, many times, if there was anything we wanted or needed. The staff made suggestions about things we might like, or things that we could add to what we had asked for. We were encouraged to have more food and drinks (and given that we had already paid for everything, the hotel had nothing to gain financially from our ordering more).

We were actively encouraged to make ourselves feel at home - to relax and to be comfortable. 

The quality of the food was very good, and the portions were generous (and, of course, we were encouraged to have more if we wanted).

Drinks (including Champagne) are available in the lounge at all times, and we were free to just help ourselves. There are also cakes and sweet treats (on our first day, there were millionaire's shortbread slices - my absolute favourite).

Our room was huge, very comfortable, very tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean.

There are loads of little service/hospitality touches that make such an enormous difference to the experience of a hotel stay.

I cannot praise this place highly enough. I would give ten stars, if I could. We have already booked to return.

This is a truly amazing hotel. From the minute you arrive and are welcomed to the minute you leave this place is incredible.

Everything is included in the price, from champagne on tap to breakfast, lunch , dinner and snacks. The food is superb. The chef comes to you personally and helps you choose what you would like to eat. Truly a wonderful experience.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. You really feel special , and a wanted visitor .

There is a sister hotel close by which has a wonderful spa which again is included. You are even chauffeur driven to the spa and offered a return journey , just let them know what time you wished to be picked up . 

This hotel is special , and I hope it stays a secret for as long as possible lol.

What a magical and utterly relaxing experience from beginning to end.

7* service (big thanks to Grace and George especially), all whims catered for!!! Top moments being dinner in the media room, tasting menu by the fire, afternoon tea overlooking Broadway, spa time at Dormy House, breakfasts on the landing and truly romantic sunsets in the hot tub with champagne.

I defy anyone to come here and not rebook!!! We'll see you again later this year, can't wait!

This was our 4th year returning to our home away from home with what I would only describe as our second family. Ed & George have been a constant for us for years which is amazing as they have got to know us and remember the sorts of things we like & when.. thanks guys! 

That doesn't mean that Charlene, Grace, Callum, Mel, Georgina weren't also amazing! It was nice to get to know Charlene properly too. We're looking forward to seeing her next year.. which we've already booked. 

If you're thinking of booking Foxhill, think of it as going to stay with a bunch of your rich mates that will do anything to make sure your time, long or short, with them is perfect. The house champagne & beers are really good. We loved the tuck shop area (free) too! 

As always the food was cooked to perfection & served exactly when and where we wanted. The nice thing is even though the house could be full there's always somewhere special to eat. 

Having seen all the rooms, they're all amazing although we've booked the same room year after year as it feels like 'our' room now. I won't say which one as the staff know & if I say it here, someone else might book it ;)

This is one of the most outstanding hotel experiences we’ve had.  Management’s goal is to make you like the hotel is yours — and the staff achieves in every way.  The hotel is a beautiful, very traditional stone structure with an open complimentary bar and exceptional tea service daily.  Dinner is in one of 3 rooms with wood burning fireplaces — and food is excellent.  We stayed in the Chestnut room which had wonderful views and was beautifully decorated.  The hotel will organize private guided walks of the countryside with Chris (a high point of our trip).
