The Park Hill

Wow what a stunning stay we had! We travelled from Cornwall for our stay to climb Snowden and the minute we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome from Ghislaine who helped us up to our room, and greeted by Jaap & Gladys the cat! The couple got us a card and box of chocolates for our 8th anniversary together which was so lovely :) Breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of options including cereals, fruit, yoghurt and cooked breakfast where we sat by the window and saw lots of squirrels and birds. I am a vegan and the couple ensured there was vegan alternatives available and almond milk which was provided :) there is a heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna available and we were very lucky to have it to ourselves every night, it was lovely to get in the pool after our hike. Ghislaine & Jaap are very knowledgable of the area and we were able to plan some activities which were a close drive away to, the town is only a short walk/drive away with plenty of places to eat and a carpark which only costs £1 after 6pm. Our room was exceptionally clean and cosy and stocked up with all you needed each day! We had an amazing view of the mountains from our window and enjoyed hearing the owls each night :) Ghislaine & Jaap are honestly the most lovely couple you could ever meet and they made us feel like we were at home, I could not fault this place or their service, it was outstanding!! we are excited to be returning back, thank you for having us! :)
