We cereals and snacks that you can help yourself to at breakfast are very welcome
Emma is so friendly ams helpful and runs a brilliant bed and breakfast like it should be

Booked at last min this hotel for New Year’s Eve 2023
Can’t fault this affordable hotel . It was very clean ,lovely comfortable bed,hot shower,tea and coffee. We were room only that’s what we prefer but the owner Emma provides free snacks in the down stairs front room which I thought was a lovely touch. 
We were in room 10 and friends were in room 8 which was equally as nice as ours
But the most impressive thing was how warm the room was which at this time of year is needed. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Bridlington and paid more per night but often heating in the rooms is hit and miss so it was a pleasure 
The hotel is situated about 5 to 8 min walk from promenade on the south side. Streets are free parking in this area .
If you are looking a reasonable priced place to stay that’s very clean it’s ideal. I will certainly book again

The South Dene we stayed was amazing the landlady very friendly the hotel very clean she couldnt do enough for us .It didnt advertise breakfast but there was all the cereal you wanted can drinks sweets and crisp in  the living room to  help yourself. In rooms was tea coffee  Very clean bed ding and towels very close to amentiers. Close to Marina and centre. Would defoe recommend and will be visiting again  

We arrived early and the room was ready so we checked  in early. Nice clean room and bathroom with complementary drinks and snacks an offer in the dining room. Location is excellent it’s very close to The Spa. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed here for 2nights. It was great! Comfortable clean room, lovely welcoming staff and 2min walk to the beach what more could you ask for! Will deffo stay here again and would deffo recommend!!!

This hotel is by far one of the friendliest cleanest places I have stayed in and I stay in alot of hotels for work the manager John is just a complete diamond couldn't do enough the rooms are very well appointed and have everything you need the breakfast is incredible the price to stay is just fabulous I can't speak highly enough of it and on check out I booked again for my next visit and God willing I will be visiting there for the next 40 years or as long as John the superstar manager will have me.

Stayed at this bnb wednesday night with a few friends on a fishing trip. Guy who runs it couldnt have been more helpful. He asked if our room was ok and offered to swop if needed. We were up before breakfast was served at 8 he offered to get up early to make us breakfast at 0730ish which he did. Breakfast was spot on. He even froze my fish from the trip. Over all spot on bnb n spot on guy who runs it. Bedroom clean and tidy. Hot shower nice clean beds.

Great location for the Spa and South Beach.Lovely full english breakfast.

the room was in a bad way dust every wearshower cubicle stains on the bottom grimmemarks on radiator wall paaper was off the walls dust in every corner sbottom sheets not been changed i had iching from the bed and dust on top wardrobeim not happy with the room needs to be redecorate as well

Great comfortable stay

Greeted by a bubbly lady who's name I missed, my bad. Everything explained to me. My room was a ground floor double room with patio. Comfortable bed and a large shower. Think the only complaint I have is no hand rails but saying that it is not advertised as a disabled room and probably wouldn't be as there is a large step to go down to get to the room. Free breakfast cereals are offered also crisps, water and cans of pop. Close to railway station and the Spa, also town centre not too far away. Had a GREAT weekend and would recommend the South Dene Hotel.

Good clean guest house  and it will be even better when it's all sorted  and breakfast back on  there is some work going on behind  closed doors but you would not know . The photo of our room should be changed as we was pleasantly surprised  as the photo  is not up to date and the  room is now a big improvement to photo   if I had to complain it would be no too request some coat hangers  on the  Side wall  to hang over coats  and long frocks etc  that was our only gripe    ether  way we will going  back soon

Warmly welcomed by John, carried my case to my room on first floor and told me if I needed anything, to just give him a shout.
Very clean room with clean linen and towels. Kettle, mug with tea and coffee, milk and sugar. Very comfortable bed as slept like a log both nights. En-suite shower and loo. Due to the small en-suite, the hand basin is in the room under the window. There is a good sized mirror to the right of the sink, which makes it awkward as have to lean and twist to use mirror. 
Close to the Spa. Due to COVID there are no breakfasts yet, as John is sole host so understandable. Shall book again very soon. Great stay.

Comfy clean stay

Booked for a two night stay, with my partner. The hotel is basic, and could do with having some money spent on it, but it’s clean and the bed was comfortable. No breakfasts being served at the moment due to COVID-19 restrictions. The WiFi could do with being improved, as it doesn’t reach the rooms, you have to sit in the lounge to use it. 

Nice and quiet, especially at night, as seems to be seagull free. The harbour is only about 10 minutes walk away, so the hotel is in a pretty good location. 

The crowning glory of this place is John, the manager.  He is an absolute star, nothing is too much trouble for him and he goes out of his way to make sure you have a great stay. The owner is lucky to have him running the hotel.

What a place!!!!

For the price I paid I doubt you would find better. Booked a single but got a comfy double. Check in and out took 2 mins with the friendly owner. Full Breakfast was excellent plus cereals etc were help yourself. 5/10 walk into town centre. Very happy with my stay here and would definitely make this my 1st choice if I am Ever back in Bridlington.

It is what it says on the tin. A cheap clean stay. Would stay here again.
