My colleague and I were caught out by the heavy snowfall on Saturday 2nd Dec and could not leave Windermere. He looked up B&Bs and the first one he contacted was Ivy Bank. Although closed for the winter Gareth opened up for us and a few others. His hospitality was generous and we had a comfortable night. The only reason I am not awarding him ten stars is because the reviews only allow five.
