We didn’t have breakfast but wish we did!
We was hoping to return again in May but it appears you’re booked up every weekend practically all year and I’m not surprised.

Greeted by owner tilly lovely young lady who was very welcoming and showed me to my room nice bed and breakfast guest house  phil had a nice hot breakfast for me each morning  nice pub round the corner from the bed and breakfast guest house nice hot food from 5.00pm have been to windermeŕe be fore   l will try and get back here the next time  when  in windermere  a welcome  place to  come  and  stay  all so very quiet in side  and outside  

Our first time staying at this lovely b&b and it won’t be our last ....it’s spotlessly clean our room was fantastic with a few nice little touches the owners were very friendly and helpful we asked if we could have a later checkout and would pay ...they said no problem and there’s no need to pay extra.

Greeted at Beckmead by the Owner Tilly, lovely young lady who was very welcoming and showed us to our room on the 1st floor.
Nothing was too much trouble for Tilly & Phil. Breakfast times were 08:30 to 09:30 , a bit later would of been better. The Breakfast room was set out Elegantly with Quality tablecloths and napkins, delightful cutlery and real china Cups and Saucers . Breakfast was excellent Choice of Fruit juice,  local yogurt compote,  fruit, cereal, various Teas and Fresh Ground Coffee. Cooked Breakfast was a full english with any type of eggs. They even offered Soft boiled eggs with Soldiers. Phil was the perfect host and even gave me gluten free bread. He had time to chat and nothing was too much trouble. 
Little problem in the bathroom was could not bend head in sink to have a wash as shelf was directly above the sink. Other than that it was Clean, Welcoming and Cosy and we will come back to stay



We stayed here for a week in room no.2. Accommodation was lovely, the breakfast set you up for the day. Nothing was ever too much to ask of Tilly and Phil and we are looking forward to staying here again next year. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at Beckmead. Spotless, beautifully decorated, excellent hosts. There so many nice touches at Beckmead it's refreshing to see the owners take so much pride in their business. Always happy to help and provide advise on what's about and where to go. 5 star. Windermere village around the corner and 15 Mins to Bowness.

Me and my wife stayed here for two nights 12-13 July ( Sorry it wasn’t Longer )
Tilly and Phil who own and run the “ Beckmead Guesthouse “ are your perfect hosts.
Me and my wife travel a lot all over the world , we have stayed in everything from 
5 star hotels, to wigwams, to native villages.
Also of course B&Bs.
But even thou I tried ( sorry Phil ) I could not find one fault with this establishment.
Everything was spotless, 
The rooms where very bright and fresh , bathroom although small had one of the best 
Showers I have ever use.
Coffee and Tea making facilities with china cups and saucers.Perfect .

Then comes Breakfast Wow, when a person takes so much pride in presentations even for Breakfast it says a lot for how they care.
Breakfast started with a Menu with a varied selection to choose from.
We went for the full Breakfast I had scrambled egg , Tilly I don’t no how you do your scrambled eggs but it was lovely.

The gardens at the front where stunning lovely mix of flowers, I believe looked after by 
Tilly and watered by Phil.

On the day we left Phil let us leave our Luggage at the Guesthouse as we had a late 
Train to catch ( So we used our bus pass to go to Ambleside”

As we left we asked Phil could we book August bank holiday , but as expected they are fully booked.

The guest house is literally ten minutes walk into Windermere and 15 down to.
Bow ness

This is a beautiful, typical Lakes District guesthouse. The hosts are so gracious, the rooms fantastic and the breakfast is to write home about. We stayed for just 2 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. We were waved off by Phil with great suggestions for the next leg of our journey. Quite a gem. Thank you. Would love to return.  

The couple who run Beckmead Guest House are the perfect B&B hosts. The service was just perfect, the breakfast superb, and the standards of hygiene second-to-none. The crockery, the cutlery, the tablecloth--everything were spotlessly clean. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully clean, too. If we ever visit the Lake District again we would have no hesitation in making a return visit to Beckmead Guest House. It deserves more than 5 stars!

Beckmead is a lovely, well run guest house. Hosts were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spotlessly clean and had a comfy bed. We were very impressed with the vegan breakfast menu for one of our party. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.
