The welcome I received was super and, from the get-go, all the staff were extremely happy to help in any way, possible.  Martyn was a super star with nothing being too much trouble or inconvenient!  I had the rather embarrassing situation of having my (company) credit card declined upon arrival however, with a simple smile and very pleasant attitude, Martyn waved away the immediate situation with a view that 'we can look at it again, tomorrow'.Unfortunately, the beer was too good and the room too comfortable for me to make evening dinner.  6 hours of driving pre-arrival also played a part.  I certainly wish I had made dinner because the menu looked wonderful and the breakfast the following morning was simply exquisite!  Warm croissants followed by a cooked breakfast didn't help my waistline but it certainly made me feel extremely content!Overall, and I commented the same when (thank goodness) my card worked the following morning, I will CERTAINLY be back once work brings me to this beautiful part of the UK once more.

A fab little inn.  So pleased i found thus place to stay, situated on outskirts of Brockenhurst village.  Welcomed by Manager Dave Hutton who explained everything we needed to know re booking in process, breakfast times and info regarding evening menus.  Shown to room which was absolutely perfect and the little touches inc toiletries, home made cookies with wide range of teas/hot chocolate/water/milk in fridge.  Nothing was to much trouble when speaking to sny of the staff.This is a dog friendly inn for dog lovers.Constructive criticism:  May be an idea to put some type of air freshener/room scent on stair/corridor leading to rooms, purely as Non-doggy owners notice the very strong smell of dogs, particularly if the dogs have wet coats etc after walks.

Our stay at the Filly was excellent. The room was clean the bed was huge and very comfy and the breakfast was delicious.Well worth the stay snd would definitely go again

Lovely comfortable and welcoming place to stay and excellent food. Be wary of the low beams jn the room's if you are a tall person.

Was hoping to walk from the station the mile to the hotel but the road didn't have a footpath. Would have been good to know.

Dave and Holly run a lovely inn. Perfect place to stay when in New Forest.

We had a fabulous stay. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable bed, fabulous food. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend staying hr.

An Inn to be Visited!!

We chose the Filly Inn after reading through previous reviews, it did not disappoint! Great service, great food, great drinks, great room. We stayed for one night the rooms come with everything you could need and more! The menu has such a great selection, so good it makes it hard to decide and makes you want to stay longer! The breakfast was top class as well! Such friendly staff too made it a perfect stay and would 100% go back

Great stay!

We stayed at The Filly Inn overnight after exploring parts of the New Forest. Although not in one of the villages it was on the main route.The staff were welcoming, the room was spotless and the homemade cookies as a welcome gesture was lovely. We had dinner and breakfast both meals were lovely and very filling.We would definitely return for another stay.

We booked the hotel at short notice, on arrival the staff on duty welcomed us and showed us to our room which was really clean and very well appointed with lots of useful comfort items. Its a very dog friendly hotel and makes your stay much easier when you have your four legged friend.The breakfast was top notch and freshly cooked with a treat for our dog. We plan to return for a longer stay so we can enjoy the hotel and location fully.

This Filly romps home.

Beautiful Inn nicely refurbished. Cosy and welcoming bar and lounge area as well as comfortable bedrooms. The restaurant is welcoming and nicely decorates. The temperature in the restaurant was at the lower end, in particular at breakfast (wood burner was off). The range of food at breakfast could be further improved as on both days there were things on the menu which were not available. The breakfast service could be improved in terms of range and time of delivery.

Weekend in New Forest

Boxing day two day stay with two large dogs bulldog bailey  and labrador Charlie. Excellent  service and food. Room small but tastefully  designed. Tea choice  and homemade  cookies. Very accomodatibg to our dogs in all areas. Love to return in the summer and enjoy the  very local pig beer and vineyard. Great location for walking and access to all forest areas

We were looking for somewhere in the New Forest that was Dog Friendly and had a boutique kind of feel without the silly prices.  The Filly Inn was perfect.  Amazing staff, lovely room, incredible facilities and in an excellent location offering the best of both country and coast.  Some hotels/Inns say Dog friendly or Dogs welcome.  The Filly Inn go way way beyond this and made us and our four-legged friend exceptionally welcome.  With treats from the kitchen arriving before we'd even been handed the dining room menu it made out stay more enjoyable.  and the complimentary doggy friendly shampoo came in very useful after a wet and muddy walk on Saturday.  I can't recommend The Filly Inn highly enough.  We will be back soon.
