My wife and I booked The Macintosh as we fancied seeing the lights after a lot of years. We were greeted by a friendly face (Pat) and as there was no parking spaces on the road we were directed to the rear to find her husband (ken) admitting us to a small gated private car park.(great) We were then shown to our ensuite room, that was clean with a double and single bed in (room 9) it was equipped with a tv, shower, towels and tea and coffee making facilities. The Macintosh is within easy walking distance to the Tower and centre, but the tram stop (Wilton Parade) is only a short walk away, and the trams run regularly to the pleasure park that is a couple of miles away. If you are going for the lights, leave your car at the Macintosh as it gets gridlocked on the roads. Breakfast was fantastic, and nothing is too much trouble for them. This must be the most cost-effective place I have ever stayed. Enjoy !
