Cedar Falls Health Spa

Myself and a great friend have just had the most wonderful 24hrs. We chose to have 2 single rooms. They were perfectly comfortable and had everything we needed. One had a shower and the other had a bath with a shower over, so it was nice to choose. My friend was cold as we went to bed, the night porter offered an extra portable radiator which he brought up - this was wonderful service. I am not saying the hotel was cold, she just gets cold! We spent the 24hrs, relaxing, swimming, chatting, walking in the beautiful grounds and had the most delicious dinner (fantastic menu) and an enormous breakfast pretty much anything you would want. We shopped in the wonderful boutique - amazing, stylish and good value. We didn't go to Cedar Falls to shop but a bit of retail therapy is always good for the soul! Mrs Smith was so accommodating while we deliberated so much. The staff were friendly and welcoming, it felt personal rather than impersonal like some larger spa hotels can feel. We only went to one class (the classes on our first day were cancelled due to the instructor being off sick) this was a pity but for us not a worry, we could always swim, gym etc. instead. I have been to Cedar Falls 4 times now, the last time being about 5 years ago. This was very definitely a better all round experience, there is more attention to detail and there has been a face lift of the bedrooms in particular. All in all, I will definitely be back and loved being with my friend in such a relaxing environment. I do feel that they must have had a lot of robes and towels stolen in the past as you have to give your one allocated robe and pool towel in on departure or you will be charged. This is probably a sign of the times. Take your own slippers/flipfops too or you can buy some for a £1. It is somewhere I would recommend, the formula works well. The house and grounds are beautifully maintained and beautifully furnished.
