I stayed only for one night and room was spacious ,bed was cosy and comfortable ,toilet was clean and neat but furniture looks very old apart from that it is good value for money

Staff were incredibly nice! We were surprised to find ourselves directly next to the Birmingham City match during the FA tournament and it was such a fun atmosphere!

Lovely value for money hotel above the pub. Rooms were clean. Really friendly staff & a fantastic breakfast. Bus stop 2mins away to get to the city centre #97 & #97A gets you in within 10 mins. Was able to park at the hotel too but plenty of roadside parking if full.

Brilliant if you are watching football at St Andrews,. Great bar, parking available but ltd, plenty on the streets. Great staff, everyone makes you so welcome, the breakfast is well worth the £6.50 i paid.

The accommodation is above the pub that is part of The Royal George.The rooms are not quite to the standard of Premier Inn, however they are very clean, all the staff are particularly helpful and it is particularly good value for money. There is surprisingly no external noise when in your room. With a large comfortable bed with 4 pillows, I slept extremely well.Highly recommended if you need overnight accommodation in the city centre for work purposes.

Great staff, nice comfy clean room and a good breakfast in the morning. Far more than you could ask for when 2 people staying for under £100. Will definitely book again if we come back to Birmingham.

There was an unforseen problem with our room, but we were provided with an alternative and staff did everything they could to get our stay back on track.Much appreciated - thanks

Good place to stay. Could do with a lick of paint here and there. Window in room broken did not shut properly and because its on a main road, could here road noise, but not a major problem. Remote control for the telly did not work even after changing the batteries and telly screen broken But these things are not game changers so no big worry. Right near Birmingham CIty Football club so if going to the match it is ideally situated and bust after the game.Lovely friendly staff. Great cooked breakfast.About a 40 min walk into the city but on  the bus route and taxi easily available.

2024 Xmas stay

I absolutely loved my room it was really nice and clean the shower and bedding amazing the bed was really comfortable and it was quite as well well deserve break and the staff where really nice and welcoming I really enjoyed my stay and I would recommend staying at The Royal George  hotel cuz the pub downstairs is really nice area as well

Large clean room. WiFi was weak or no existent.Despite signs everywhere NO SMOKING or VAPING the place was fully of smokers even in front of staff.No food hotel but large shopping centre with probably 6 food outlets about 300m.Easy to locate and get to with minimal city traffic.Did have an issue with noise the second night a fellow kept knocking on the door despite being told he had the wrong room.Quick check in.Room cleaned nicely each day

Good price if you have a vehicle to park

I noticed that the building itself was a bit run down. A tile in my bathroom was somewhat loose. The receptionist said someone would fix that though. Furthermore, the office chair cracked when I turned it. There was no aircondition in the room either. This could become an issue in the summer. In contrast, the room was quite clean. All the rooms were cleaned regularly while I stayed there. Another major positive was the close proximity to a bus stop. The 97 bus to be more precise. Royal George hotel was close to Morrisons, Boots plus Poundland. A major positive for cheapskates like myself. Lastly, the staff were friendly and service-minded people. The hotel should fix some of the furniture and tiling. Aside from that, I recommend staying there for a city break!

Good stay but quite a rude welcome from the lady in the bar.The TV kept cutting out on most channels
