Booked as last minute short break 3 nights. Room was spotless and host was lovely and nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was beautiful cooked to perfection. Plenty of parking around on a £1 a day visitors pass from b&b .
Hope to return early next year as was such a relaxing experience and everything at hand .

Really lovely welcoming people even the single had everything that I could need clean very comfortable with desk and armchair ans sink. Will def stay and recommend to friends and family when we run out of beds . Really lovely couple that run it will def come back

Stayed at the English Rose for 4 nights in August.
Have to say the guest house is in a good place near to the seafront. There is parking available by using a permit purchased for £1 per day from the owners.
The hosts Sonia and John are so friendly and cannot do enough to give you a most enjoyable stay. 
We had a lovely double room on the second floor. Really comfy bed, lovely big shower and lots of drawer space. Room was spotless and the same can be said for the rest of the guest house.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and we was allowed to choose our preferred time. We had ours at 9am.
We was extremely lucky with the weather so cannot complain there, was able to have 3 beach days which was perfect for us.
If you’re thinking of booking the English Rose then you will not be disappointed 👍👍

Perfect. Absolutely superb location, close to station and short stroll to seafront. I’ve seen reviews where it’s marked down for location. If you choose the place, how can you mark it down for location! Sonia and John are genuinely kind and attentive to their guests. I stayed for four wonderful nights and couldn’t fault a single thing. Spotlessly clean, spacious room, TV comes out of the bed! Delicious breakfast. I’m vegetarian and Sonia was very accommodating on food choices. It was a home from home and I slept soundly. I find it hard to believe there would be a better place to stay in Bexhill. My only regret is that I didn’t stay for longer, but I’m definitely heading back!!

Absolutely fantastic we spent 2 nights here to celebrate my 50th Birthday and could not have chosen a better place.  Its spotless and fhe breakfast is amazing.  Sonia and John made us so welcome nothing too much trouble we will definitely be returning.  5 star highly recommended 😘

I was welcomed by Sonya for my second visit and she was 
genuinely interested in chatting about my visit etc.
As before, my room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
A key is provided for the front door and bedroom which are
both very secure, so very safe to relax in peace and quiet.
There is always a good choice for breakfast and again it
is in a clean dining room.
I will highly recommend The English Rose once again.

Was not a normal stay as was the day  before the November 2020 lockdown so we were the only guests. We were at the back of the building that backs on to the train line with a balcony but could not hear the trains when inside the room. As it is a converted house the rooms are small but our room was self contained with a bathroom including a shower. We could come and go at what ever times we wanted. The room had what you would expect with hot drink making facilities and a small fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well decorated and clean with blackout curtains.
 The breakfast menu had a great choice and we went for the full English which was very nice and enough to fill us up till the evening. The owner was friendly and helpful and will happily stay there again.

Lovely place to stay. Sonia very welcoming. Rooms very comfortable. good choice of breakfast and wonderfully cooked. Nothing too much trouble. All precautions taken in these difficult covid times. 
Just a short walk into town. Will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend.

Just had our first visit here.  We had a 3 night break and can only say what a pleasure it was staying at The English Rose.  The hosts were friendly and helpful; the double room spotlessly clean and spacious.  The breakfast had plenty of variety and was well cooked and presented.  Care was taken, in these difficult times to protect guests.  We cannot recommend this B&B highly enough.

Everything was exceptionally clean and the room was quiet 
and comfortable.
Breakfast was served until 9.30 if requested and the choice
was well above the norm, just about everything, including
full English, kippers, cereal, porridge to toast and marmalade.
I will certainly book again later in the year.

Cheeky trip to Bexhill

From the exterior this guest house appears to be pretty average. When inside, it is excellent! Spotlessly clean, contemporary, delicious breakfast. My single room was large, with a comfortable chair to relax in. very pretty. Quiet. Large shower room. Everything was superb. Only 2 minutes walk from Bexhill railway station, you can leave your car on the road outside, jump on a train and be in the centre of Brighton within the hour. Just 5 minutes walk from the beach or town centre and 10 minutes stroll to the iconic De La Ware pavilion.

I've just got home after another wonderful weekend staying at The English Rose in Bexhill.
Sonia is a brilliant hostess, nothing is too much trouble, she treats her guests in a polite, friendly and courteous way and makes you feel very much at home. As a solo traveler I was nervous about going away on my own last year but she made me feel so welcome I had no hesitation in going back again this year ... And I'm jolly glad I did. 
The room was spotlessly clean; the breakfast amazing and the bed was super comfy. Just what you want from a B&B.
The location is perfect. Very close to the railway station and bus routes and a short walk to the sea front.
Great stay; will definitely book again, in fact I'm looking forward to it 😊

Absolutely Brilliant

We enjoyed three evenings here in late June and early July, while visiting family. The location is superb—near the train station, the seafront, and many restaurants, cafes, etc. Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The owners/hosts are very welcoming. And the breakfasts are outstanding. Highly recommended.
