We arrived after hours but Julie was there welcoming us. With her warm personality plus providing us with info on what to see and restaurants, Julie is an excellent host. The location is so convenient to Bath and the room very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to our friends.

Lovely place to stay ,clean and tidy rooms ,few minutes from Bath center  really nice owner ,very kind and friendly ,will stay again if we visit Bath again ,everytthing was only a few minutes away ,plenty to do and easy to find all the places to go

Owner friendly and extremely helpful. Room was lovely, couldn't fault a thing. And the dogs are nice too. Location is good. Not sure what else to say to use the remaining characters count, other than, I'd recommend you stay here, point of note breaky no longer offered

Another wonderful stay at the Avon Guest House. My go to place in Bath! Super close to the centre of town yet also close to the delightful Widcombe high-street with its independent shops, pubs and restaurants. 
Spotlessly clean and lovely fluffy towels.

The Avon guest house is a great place to stay, not far to walk to the centre of the city, parking is very handy, Julie is a great host very helpful with places to go and see, also places to eat we can not wait to go back.

I have stayed at Avon Guest house on numerous occasions. It is in an excellent location, only 2 minutes walk to the city centre. There is parking available too which is fantastic with it being so central. Julie always greets us with a warm welcome and ensures we have everything we need to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The guesthouse is 2 minutes walk from both the river and the canal and only 5 minutes walk to Widcombe High Street with its lovely cafes and shops and pubs serving good food. Plenty of places to chose from for breakfast locally. Highly recommend for a cosy stay in the centre of Bath.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Avon guest house, we found it very convenient having parking and being able to walk into city centre very quickly, Julie ( owner) was very helpful in every way and nothing was too much trouble, there is so much to do around bath, lovely walks and great shopping.

Had this booked by our daughter for my wife and my birthday. Julie the host was very nice and helpful.

Due to Covid currently there is no breakfast offered. This is not an issue as the town centre is only some 5 minutes walk away. Close enough to go to town for he day pop back home and go back out in the evening for food and drinks.

Our room was spacious with en-suite facilities, TV, tea and coffee etc. 

There is on-site parking for a limited number of cars, which was good.

I would definitely stay here again when visiting Bath.

Booked Avon guesthouse for 3 night break to Bath and can’t speak nightly enough. 
It may not be the most modern of accommodation, but it’s good enough size en-suite room. Slept well. It has TV, like I said, en-suite with shower. 
Very close to Bath Cory centre and all the things you may want to see in Bath.   
Julie, the owner, is absolutely fantastic and made me feel very welcome. She can guide you to what you may want to visit in Bath. 
Huge thank you from me and again, can’t recommend Avon Guesthouse enough.

Lovely guesthouse, wonderful location just 2minutes walk from centre of Bath

Wonderful break in Bath

No regrets

Perfectly located, just 5 minute walk from the centre of Bath with the added bonus of parking. Close to many attractions and places to eat. 

Really friendly hostess who was happy to give directions to places and recommend places to eat etc. 

Lovely large bedroom with modern en-suite. Nice and quiet despite being on a fairly busy road. Comfortable beds made for a good nights sleep. 

Unfortunately they no longer provide breakfast despite advertising B&B on their website and in the in room folder. This is the only reason I’ve only given 4 stars. 

Ideal

Just returned from our 4th stay with Julie at the Avon Guest House and as always it’s left us wanting more! Both Julie & Martin are so welcoming, excellent hosts  & offer delicious, varied breakfast options catering for all tastes. We’ve planned to visit during the summer next year as well as our pre Christmas usual & Julie is helping us with our itinerary of must see local attractions. It’s an absolute delight staying in such a beautiful city with such great hosts. Thanks to you both. K & M

Always a winner 👌🏼

We arrived early and Julie was ok with that. We parked our car, Julie gave us directions and off we went to explore this beautiful City, within easy walking distance of the Guesthouse.
We came back to our room and it was a good size with plenty of storage and so warm.
Little touches from Julie, the room was comfortable.
First of all we were worried about the road noise but all was well. Couldn't hear the traffic.
Breakfast was great. Choice of cereals and then a very good selection from the blackboard. 
Martin was there at breakfast and a nice pot of tea and coffee served quickly.
Thank you Julie for a great stay. Sorry we missed Matin to say thank you.

Warm and friendly 

Me and my husband stayed at The Avon Guest House for 4 nights  from the 26 - 30th Sept and what a lovely time we had.  The owner, Julie was lovely and very helpful telling us places to,go, and places to see, and was very knowledgable about Bath. 

When we first arrived Julie welcomed us like a friend and recommended lots of places to see.  Also she told us about the walking tour, which was free, and we thoroughly enjoyed.  The guide was very knowledgable about Bath and very interesting to listen to, telling us all the history about Bath, and was very entertaining as well, it was a 2hr  walk and we loved every minute of it.

The B and B was spotless clean and our room was perfect, comfy bed, lovely shower room and last but not least, a great breakfast with everything you could want.

We loved our 4 days in Bath, loads of shops and places to go, or just walk along the river which was very picturesque and we would love to visit Bath again in the future, and would definitely stay at the Avon Guest House and recommend to friends and family .

What a lovely stay at the Avon Guest House

Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughter, and we both absolutely loved it. Julie and Martin are both extremely welcoming and friendly and helpful, you couldn't possibly ask for more. There is a homely feel about the place, which makes you feel very relaxed and cheerful. Access to city centre ideal. Room large and very clean and tidy and comfortable. Breakfast great, with plenty of choice. I've stayed in plenty of guest houses and this is one of the very best. We're both looking forward to staying here again - it helped make our stay in Bath just brilliant. Steve Smith, Weymouth.
