I stayed here during my trip to Bath.  The couple that ran the establishment were very sweet.   The area is not far from the city center at all.  A word of warning: there is no Wi-Fi.  Since I was looking to disconnect on this trip, that wasn't a problem for me.  That might be a problem for some people, so want to let people know about that.

Lovely B and B, well situated for top end of town, clean if a little tired in places but that adds to the charm. Family room was great, beds really comfy. Plenty of space for all of us. The shower was a little small but my other half is quite big! The couple that run it are so helpful and kind. Have on site parking which is fab in Bath. Breakfast was great - we do like a bit of bacon with our scrambled egg but no complaints really in what was on offer. Highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights (Friday and Saturday) and had a lovely time. A few days before our visit, we were asked to provide an estimated time of arrival. We were earlier than expected but that didn’t cause an issue, we were greeted by one of the owners who happily showed us inside. One of the first thing he asked was whether we had visited before and since we hadn’t he took the time to point out our location in relation to the popular tourist attractions in the area, which was very useful and made a great first impression. The room itself was large and furnished nicely (we were staying in an ensuite double room). The bathroom was small but perfectly comfortable to use, the shower worked well and there was plenty of storage space for toiletries should you need it. The room included a wardrobe with a floor length mirror and hangars inside – so no need to bring your own! The bed was very comfortable. I was also delighted to note that they had drawn a map on one of the welcome documents to show how easy it was to get to the Royal Crescent and the Circus. They were only a 5 minute walk away which was a nice surprise! Being so close to the Royal Crescent also meant being close to Victoria Park which was a lovely area to go for a stroll.

Breakfast was good, there was the choice of cereals, pastries, yoghurt and cooked options such as scrambled egg on toast and porridge. I chose the porridge and was not disappointed it was delicious! Overall, Elgin Villas is in a good location, and is a lovely place to stay for a short break in Bath. I would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for reasonably priced accommodation for their city break.

My sister and I stayed here 1 night just before Christmas. The room was fairly small, with a tiny tv, but when staying at a B&B I don't expect luxury! The bathroom was also adequate, with clean towels and a good shower. The breakfast was a little disappointing as you don't have any choice of hot food, just scrambled eggs, of which I am not a fan. There were some juices, breads and cereals at the side, but the breads were stale. 

Very good location for a brisk walk into the city centre, and there is street parking (we arrived Saturday evening) which is free after a certain hour (6, I think) and also on Sunday.

Had a lovely stay 
There were 4 men in bath for the rugby we were greeted by peter on arrival taken to our rooms and told how to get about in bath.
Rooms clean tidy spacious 
Breakfast was what it says when you book and well looked after each morning by peter 
Great location near to center and only 5 min walk home from late night pubs n clubs 
Would recommend WiFi for ppl these days but will def return if we go to bath again

Just what I was looking for, but might not be for everyone.

Lovely stay will return 

After overcoming our surprise that no Wi-Fi was available, we enjoyed out stay.  Room was adequate, facilities were dated but functional and breakfast was good.  Margarita was knowledgeable and helpful.  Location was convenient to the Botanic Gardens, the Royal Crescent and just a short walk downtown.

Enjoyable Stay

Average B&B.  Clean and comfortable beds but the facilities need updating.  Being in a front room however we did have a lovely view. Breakfast was uninspiring and limited which was surprising as we had stayed in other B&Bs on the trip where they prided themselves on great food.  Even some yogurt would have been welcomed. However Elgin Villa is close to the attractions of the city centre.

Average B&B

Just stayed with my partner for one night, nice friendly couple who own it, very helpful if you don’t know your way around but we did. 
The double room had what you needed comfy bed and clean sheets, towels provided and soaps if you don’t take your own. And they have hand gel for people to use on the reception area. They leave you alone to let you enjoy your stay. 
Some constructive feedback would be that due to the Covid pandemic people will return to their rooms like we did early. A bigger tv would have been nice think there smaller than a laptop screen. And the decor in the room needs to be all matching not different colours, wouldn’t cost much just to touch up the room. And mould round the window. Just needs a bit of TLC. 
Overall very close to the town nice beds but for £100 a night thought it was a bit overpriced unless rooms are updated and new TVs. We thought it was a room no more than £60-£70 per night. 
Can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t use. 
All in all just needs a bit of modernisation and maybe WiFi if you want to charge a £100 per night for a double room.

Good location

The location was ideal and parking situation useful and well priced. However, the overall price was very high for a guest house, whose decor was fixed in the 1990s, staff were functional, but it did feel that the owners were carrying on working when frankly they'd had enough. The breakfast was disappointing with only microwaved scrambled egg and toast being the hot component of breakfast. We decided to forgo this on the second day to allow Hinckley Point it's new ball bearings 
 

Great location but an expensive guest house.

Have been staying in Elgin Villa for 2 nights for attending my friend's graduation ceremony at Bath. I would like to say that the whole experience was mostly awful.

Pros:
- Convenient Location to town
- Clean room

Cons:
- Very dated room and facilities 
- No Wi-Fi
- Choices of Breakfast was limited and very average
- Parking charge was expensive with £5 per night
- Rude host (Margarita)

I would like to thanks Peter for his pleasant help and shown about near location in Bath. However, I found that his partner, Margarita was cold, stubborn, and rude.

As I stated, I thought I was staying in the boarding school than in the B&B. The rules from Margarita were confusing and eccentric. During the breakfast, I was trying to sit with my families, however, there were not enough chairs in the table, so my family told me to take a chair from another table (which is associated with our booked room). Margarita told my family you cannot do so, and later on, she told me if you would like to sit with your parents, you can take a chair to your family's table. At this point, I found her very confusing. Because it was the same as what my family said. 

Not to mention other details inside the Elgin Villa, breakfast was absolutely awful (only scrambled eggs cooking from microwave, porridge, fruit, cereals and average rolls), and everything inside the house and the rooms looked very dated and seriously need to update.

Furthermore, I would also like to say this B&B was adequate and it was not valued for money (overpriced, considered that the service from this B&B).

Bath is a super-lovely place to visit, but for the next time, I definitely would stay elsewhere.
