Lovely 2 night stay the weekend before Christmas. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed with fresh home baked goodies left each day. Breakfast was made to order and Christine could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Location close to centre and amenities.

Christine, the Host, was so lovely and accommodating.  I had a double room with private bathroom accessible via the landing (there was also a sink in the room itself and robes available) The room was really nicely laid out and had good WiFi.  Christine made you feel really at home and there are homemade treats in the room as well as tea and coffee facilities and bottled water.  The breakfast was delicious and highly recommend the homemade blinis, sourdough and whisky marmalade.  I stayed for three nights and was able to find parking on the street outside the property without issue.  I was there for a wedding at Tunnels Beaches literally round the corner and the beach and high street are just a short walk away.

We have stayed in many B&Bs but nothing is quiet like staying at Brookdales. Christine really cares and makes sure you have everything you need. The B&B is very clean, lovely rooms and the best breakfast with lots of choice and Christine puts herself out to meet your dietary needs ... my wife is gluten intolerant Christine made sure she had wonderful a breakfast. Not to mention the home make flapjacks and shortbread. Wonderful stay already book for September.

me & my fiancee stayed for 4 nights & loved everything about the place...christine was like your favourite aunt,she was warm,friendly & we just felt so at home. if you want premier inn then this b&b is not for you! it's a victorian house with 3 guest rooms & we had the 1 with the private (large) bathroom across the hallway. now some people may not like the thought of leaving your room to go to the bathroom but there are robes & slippers provided so was not a problem. there is a outside balcony which i loved to sit out on long after the other half had hit the sack. breakfast was lovely with lots of home made items. my fiancee particularly liked the smoked salmon with blinis & the cooked breakfast was super(sausage & bacon were your top of the range) water bottles replaced daily & every day there was some home made flapjacks or shortbread & on the last day coffee & walnut cake...it's those sweet touches that make you want to return. we came back the 1 day & it had rained & on return she asked if we wanted the heat on! if we return to ilfracombe then we wouldn't stay anywhere else. andy & kelly

Had a lovely stay with Mary, fantastic breakfast and felt right at home from the beginning. She runs this B n B excellently and I could not fault a thing.

Myself and my partner had a fantastic stay at Brookdales. Christine is a marvelous host and you couldn’t ask for a better B&B. The room was huge with the little touches sprinkled around the place a delight especially the shortbread yum yum !! Lauren sampled a different breakfast most days and was always tasty and lovely. If thinking of staying in Ilfracombe can highly recommend Brookdales and hope to see Christine again soon for another enjoyable stay.

We highly recommend this small b&b, Christine (the owner) is one of the nicest, warmest & most welcoming hosts we have ever met, she made our stay so wonderful and her cooking is completely amazing. We cannot wait to return. Thank you for making us so welcome. 

Spotlessly clean B+B in an excellent location.  The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and the best choice breakfast we have had at any B+B. They even have daily specials!  The rooms are lovely, homemade biscuits and water every day.  I left something behind and Christine very kindly posted it back to me.  Would definitely stay again and highly recommended.

A lovely little B&B in a picturesque part of North Devon. We stayed for two nights as part of a road trip around Dorset, Devon and Somerset. Parking is on the street directly outside of the house which is free, and it's fairly flat so no tricky manoeuvres needed. The en suite room was a good size and fully functional. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and there were many complementary items in the room including daily homemade biscuits/flapjacks, bottled water and hot drinks. We were asked to advise a time for breakfast each morning which was superb with options from Full English, to vegetarian and salmon. The homemade bread and whiskey marmalade was excellent to follow up the bacon, eggs, sausage etc. Would definitely come back again next year when in the area. 

Had a great night's stay at brookdale, Christine was a fantastic host serving the most amazing breakfast we had haddock and poached eggs and the next table had full English which looked just as good, room was light and airy with lots of little extras in there to make you feel special, most of the food was home made ie bread preserves flapjack etc and nothing was too much trouble for this lady, we wanted to take her home with us.

Made to feel very welcome!

Wonderful B&B

we just loved it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Christine’s lovely B&B. We we made to feel so welcome, it was like a home from home and we really appreciated the yummy treats left in our room! We booked the double room with external bathroom and roof terrace. The bedroom was bright, airy and clean. The bathroom is just a few steps away along the landing, we haven’t stayed anywhere with an external bathroom before but it was fine and we were comfortable popping across the hall to use it. The roof terrace is great for catching the last of the sun in the evening. Our breakfasts were amazing and we brought a jar of Christine's home made marmalade to take home. The B&B is in a great location - it’s a short walk to the town and harbour and Tunnels Beaches is really close. Roadside parking was easy. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place! Two night visit

Just WOW!! My Birthday and Christine and Nigel went "all out" to start my Birthday Superbly. Champagne breakfast and lots of loving Vibes. Can Highly recommend Brookdales, super location and they make you feel like it's your home, nothing too much trouble if you need something. 5 🌟 accommodation at an Amazing price.
