I stayed here for two nights whenn walking the South West Coast path. It is excellent. Westleigh is just off the path - there's an easy crossing over the B-road and a footpath straight up to the village - takes about 5 minutes. My room looked as though it had been recently redecorated. It had beautiful views out over the hills. I was greeted with cake and tea/coffee - offered more supplies for my walk the next day. The breakfasts were excellent (only place I found that offered fruit, as well as full English etc.). I used this as a base for the Braunton to Westward Ho stretch but also Westward Ho to Clovelly. Local buses link you to Barnstaple (incl rail station), Bideford, Westward Ho and on. 
The owners went out of their way to look after me and the other guest who was staying.

We travelled down from Manchester for a wedding, and we had quite a stressful journey which put us 5 hours behind schedule. We were greeted by our friendly host who welcomed us in to her beautiful home, showed us around and then brought us a pot of lovely tea and a tray of biscuits, making sure we felt at home. Excellent first impressions!
Our room was the ‘green’ room I believe, which was huge and extremely comfortable with a beautiful bay window looking out on to a field of lambs. It was spotlessly clean and we could not have asked for more. It was lovely and quiet in the night, so I slept really well and waking up to the view of the lambs in the field was a bonus.
The bathroom was separate but only a short distance across the landing. Again it was clean and comfortable. There was a sign on the wall to say that the water pressure may be low on that side of the house, but we didn’t have any issues whatsoever and we found the water pressure was fine.
Breakfast is between 8-9am, there are plenty of cereals to choose from, plus fresh fruit, orange and grapefruit juices, tea, coffee and a freshly cooked full English which was spot on!
I have no complaints whatsoever, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I’m in the area. Our family stayed at the premier inn in Barnstaple and they were all jealous of our comfortable stay, not only that but they paid double what we paid!

You know this is going to be a good choice as soon as you arrive and are greeted by the warm and welcoming host. It's a lovely farm house, which is full of character and charm and the rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent.

We had booked a short stay on Lundy Island months before but had neglected to book  B&B the night before the early morning ferry in Bideford. How fortunate for us because we ended up here rather than in Bideford itself. Caroline, our landlady, welcomed us with tea and cake and when she learned we were off to Lundy offered to get up early to cook us breakfast before we left. She also pointed us at Instow as a place to find somewhere to get an evening meal.
Our room was a generous size and our only minor complaint was the lack of water power in the shower - it was only just adequate.

This b&b is about 10minutes drive from Bideford in beautiful county surroundings. It’s spotless clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast to die for, in fact we ordered the full breakfast and we should have shared it. The hostess was pleasant & helpful. 5 minutes down the road you are in Instow. All in all is a great restful place to stay.

Mature Couple

NOT a nice place to stay.  Ignorant and unfriendly  staff worst weekend ever.  Asked for extra covers which didn't arrive until morning after repeated requests.   Staff rude, arrived an hour before checkout time then huffed and puffed.
