We had a very good stay here, Heather is very welcoming, the rooms are clean although a little small, this is an old property which is well maintained. lots of character. The proximity is within walking distance to the town & harbour.

We had two nights here whilst we enjoyed a weekend of coastal walks. Heather is extremely warm and friendly and the room was very comfortable. After a long days hiking, it is just the kind of place you want to get back to. All of this and a great breakfast too. Highly recommended.

Just had a nostalgic return to ilfracombe stayed at Strathmore Guest House with Heather (and Poppy) what a lovely lady who looked after us perfectly nothing was a bother spacious clean and tidy room great location  great price lovely breakfast rooms serviced every day free parking in front of property on first come first served basis or street parking very close by

Lovely hotel , good location walking distance.to ilfracombe, great breakfast, clean, tidy , heather is lovely and accommodating . There's also a seated area outside . Not much if anything to complain about. I couldn't get my car parked one evening but there is parking over the road for free so you can always park for free. 
Top Hotel 

Situated out of town but not out of walking distance, this is a spotlessly clean B&B with lovely rooms. The owner, Heather,  is attentive and helpful. Great breakfast and theres plenty of parking. Very Good value.

We had a lovely welcome on arrival, the rooms are lovely and clean and comfortable, plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room. Lovley little walk into the town.
The breakfast was really nice with plenty on offer.
Would recommend a stay here. 

I was diving at Lundy so we stayed for 2 nights in Ilfracombe.  This was a super guest house.  Heather, our friendly and welcoming  landlady made me a packed lunch to take with me, as I had to leave well before breakfast.  My husband, who doesn't dive was treated to her excellent cooked breakfast.  The guest house was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities and generous amounts of tea bags etc.  Free parking and WiFi added to the comfort of our stay

My autistic adult Son and I spent two very happy nights at Strathmore. The Owner, Heather, is very friendly and helpful and her assistant Poppy is very sweet. We stayed in a family room, which was large, very comfortable and had its own en suite bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of space for storing clothes, a pair of comfortable chairs to sit in and watch the world go by from the bay window, tea and coffee making facilities along with a small drinks chiller with free mineral water, which was perfect given the current hot weather. There was plenty of hot water and lovely fluffy white bath towels. The decor was perfectly selected and exactly in keeping for a large Victorian property and the ceiling roses are stunning. There were books to read and free WiFi. Breakfast was very good indeed, with a choice of juices, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, toast and jams/marmalade followed by a cooked course. There were vegetarian sausages available as well as the traditional ones to go with the choice of  bacon, eggs, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and hash browns along with either tea, fresh ground coffee or hot chocolate. The scrambled eggs were very very good.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay, highly recommend a visit and the cuddly sheep on the child's bed in our room was the real highlight.

My first stay here and hopefully not the last.I spent a week here with a friend in 2 single en-suite rooms,both on the 2nd floor.From the moment you arrive until the day you leave Heather will look after you and help in anyway she can.Everything here is so cosy and the room  and all of the guest house spotlessy clean.The cooked breakfasts are amazing in quality and quantity,and always served piping hot.One of the best i have had for many years.
All in all a lovely friendly stay,which helped make up for the disappointing weather.

We arrived in a very quiet Ilfracombe rain and fog were our companions but the welcome we received from the landlady of the strathmore guest house made it all worthwhile.The room was very clean,the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was superb.the walk too town and the sea was a very easy 20 minute walk but there was also a very regular bus which was just nearby.a very nice break.
