Returning to this delightful restaurant for a second night. Unbelievably good food with generous portions, reasonably priced, what more can I say. Well, Craig was so kind after cooking all evening he came and chatted with us for a while. A very talented cook, his choice of dishes is first class. Locally sourced and presented with true flair this establishment is a real find, we cannot recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful Inn with amazing food and service, the sharing plates are wonderful excellent local produce and presentation. stayed in room 1 wonderful soft bed and pillows with huge bathroom great toiletries and huge shower, nice little touches like tea & coffee making facilities and little biscuits. Wonderful breakfast before departure cooked fresh to order, lots of parking spaces. They also have a beautiful little outdoor terrace that I did not  have the change to use I wish Aiden and Craig a huge success

This lovely pub is a terrific find. I hesitate to review it in case it should be booked up for my next visit... The location is perfect: within a 10-15 min drive of the coast and stunning Valley of the Rocks, and on the edge of Exmoor. The rooms are elegant, beds comfy, with huge bathrooms - the pics don't do the rooms justice. But the real standout is the food - cooked by the delightful host Nicki - local produce and fish imaginatively cooked - venison stroganoff was my top meal. And breakfast was great too, lots of choice from local sausages and bacon to die for, smoked salmon, plus fresh berries and yoghurt. All this for £85 a night B&B! Highly recommended.

We were en route to Lynton on Good Friday and were thirsty so pulled off the main road down to Parracombe and found the Fox & Goose. We had a friendly greeting and a quick drink soon turned into lunch. Absolutely delicious-I would highly recommend the hake “Al fredo”. Lovely fresh food cooked in an interesting & definitely tasty way.  Hope to be back soon

Warm and friendly welcome even though we arrived before they were open. Superb menu of local produce. The bouillabaisse was excellent as was the venison stroganoff.
The staff made special arrangements for us to have a corner table so that our German Shepherd was out of the way.

Visited for lunch and had a wonderful meal of cauliflower cheese, a simple dish but wow, they made this very special! Huge portion and piping hot! Totally yummy.
Menu was varied and different from the usual run of the mill fayre.
A lovely welcome from Nikki and her staff too in this charming inn in a charming unspoilt village.
Would highly recommend and not hesitate to visit again and again

What a find, we booked a last minute booking to break up our trip to Cornwall, we really fell on our feet with the fox and goose, accommodation was perfect and food excellent, it is a shame that the current owners are selling we only hope that the new owners keep to the same standard.

Stayed locally, The Spinney Barnstable, who recommended us to eat here, couldn't have done better!  Fresh local food, cooked wonderfully, vegetables and desserts were a real treat, choice from the blackboard wall was wonderfully varied and cooked to perfection! Fish, game, pie, steaks & several veggie options.

All courses my partner and I had were absolutely delicious. A really good collection and range of dishes including a fantastic selection of fish and seafood as well as game.  Choosing was really difficult because almost every dish appealed. The bouillabaisse was really tasty and well balanced and the raspberry posset really finished off what was a superb meal.  We will definitely be back!

Found purely by luck during a Google maps search, but what a find it turned out to be. Last night, we ate the best food we’ve ever had in a pub. In fact the quality of our dishes ranks above or at the very least equal to some of the best restaurants we’ve visited. What an amazing suprise. My complements to the chef and staff for a great meal and a lovely atmosphere. To top it all, it was dog friendly too, couldn’t think of a better way to end our holiday.
