The Gallery Lodges

Lodges are all set separately on a quiet road.  Fully kitted out for self catering and they put some milk in the fridge for us and some essentials like tea, coffee, salt, pepper all available.  Some excellent artwork on the walls done by the owner and our lodge theme was skiing. Dishwasher had everything to enable use, bedroom was very large and great walk in shower. Lounge area had comfortable seating and TV with books, games if needed.  Outside patio had chairs with cushions available. 15 mins walk into Braunton where a number of eateries. 

We have stayed here once before and it was a fantastic find for us as a couple. It certainly didn’t disappoint a second visit. We stayed in a different lodge (one of three on the site) but it was identical to our last lodge. Clean, modern, and very well equipped. Fab shower too. The setting is so calming, peaceful and quiet, with lovely views across fields. The position is great, close to Braunton Village and Saunton Sands. What’s not to like. We’ll definitely be back.

What an absolute Diamond of a place . Peaceful Tranquil and absolute gem of a place . I live in the nearby village but stayed with a friend.  If your a couple with no kids or pets , you have too stay here 5 star 

We stayed in these lodges in August they are finished to a very high standard,spotlessly  clean with so many thoughtful touches- a pleasure to walk into.We had a week of beautiful weather and were able to visit many of the beautiful nearby beaches.Pete and Julie are lovely hosts unobtrusive  but always available if needed.We would thoroughly recommend these lodges and will visit again thanks for a great stay.

Stayed for a week in June, faceless easy checkin, you give your arrival time and the lodge is left open for you. Immaculate inside and out with milk and condiments left ready for you to get you going, flowers left in a vase gives that homely feel, super crisp bed linen and a comfy bed and pillows. Weather was kind ( no rain!) and it’s easy to get out and explore. Highly recommend for a relaxing break

I am reluctant to share - in case we can never get back in! However, our lodge was wonderful , I can’t think of anything that was missing, Pete and Julie have thought of everything. Not only do the lodges look great, they had everything we needed. A lovely base for exploring north Devon. In great setting. Only 3 lodges but placed really well so not overlooked, own parking space too. The only bit we couldn’t take advantage of was the lovely balcony and that was due to the weather. Thank you so much for our visit and the extra bits that made it special, fresh roses, milk coffee and tea , nice big bed with pristine white linen, plenty of towels and toiletries.

We visited the lodges for my 30th birthday as I love Devon and hadn’t been for a while. They were easy to find and are lovely and spacious throughout. On arrival there was tea and biscuits and milk in the fridge but also to my surprise a bottle of bubbles and chocolates. One of my best friends from NZ had contacted Julie and arranged for the surprise to be delivered and due to covid restrictions she had had to pop it in the fridge on our arrival rather than deliver on my actual birthday as to ensure to keep to the social distance rules. Such a sweet and truly above and beyond thing to have done to help with the surprise making our stay that even more special. 
It’s a perfect location to walk into Braunton (about 15mins) or along to saunton sands (although we didn’t get time to visit) and a short drive round to croyde. 
There is a Bbq available for use however due to the time of year and the weather it was a little cold and dark to sit out and enjoy one during our stay. 
Lovely pictures decorated throughout by the owners. 
Would highly recommend staying here and I would definitely go back for another visit. 

What can I say other than amazing, from the highest standard of finish in our lodge, to all the little extras we appreciated, even down to milk in the fridge on our arrival for that well needed cuppa. We are very much over packers who will fill the car with everything down to the kitchen sink (just in case) but this time everything has been taken care of, just sit back and relax

Set in a quiet location on the edge of Braunton within easy walking distance of local amenities. A good spot for exploring the local area with it’s stunning beaches and countryside.

We highly recommend this accommodation, you will not be disappointed.


We stayed here in May 2019 for a long weekend and had a lovely time!  It's a beautiful peaceful outlook and the lodges are in a quiet position.  We stayed in Lodge 2 because one of the party is in a wheelchair.  Pete and Julie, the owners, are very helpful and did all they could to support us.  Lodge 2 has a slope up to the desk, which had gravel which was tricky.  After speaking to the owners they are willing to consider putting down some paving to make it easier for the chair.  The lodge itself is comfy, small kitchenette with all you need for a short break.  The microwave and upper cupboards aren't accessible to a wheelchair user but you'll be fine with a travel companion.  The shower room is a flat wet room with brilliant hidden grab rails including the shower riser.  A self propelled shower chair is available on request.  There's a grab rail by the sink and also by the raised loo.  It could benefit from a second drop down rail and we chatted about that with the owners.  The bedroom was comfortable with a bed that could accommodate a hoist if need be.  Perfectly clean and with thoughtful touches.  Will definitely come back.  15mins from Woolacombe and a little more to Ilfracombe so a lovely place to be.

These lodges are imaculate and have been very carefully thought through. Little touches like fresh flowers,biscuits and coffee are what makes these lodges a joy to stay. We woke up to look out at our windows to deers, but they soon ran away when they saw us.
Stopped three nights and found the lodges just right. The weather was a little chilly but we still managed to sit out on the decking. The pictures from Pete Caswell are wonderful. 
Loved the peace and the fact only three lodges.
Well done for all the little touches in these lodges, it made a very enjoyable stay.
