My husband and I visited here for 1 week with our little dog. It is in a beautiful location and very out of the way but near to lovely beaches, forests and scenic villages. If you are looking for a real countryside experience then this is for you. Our lodge was lovely and when we arrived we went to the local supermarket a few miles away and stocked up. I think this holiday is amazing value for money. Site Manager Justin very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. We would recommend and would visit again.

This is the second time we have visited this little gem, these cabins are in a perfect location, just far enough away to feel like you are in the wild with stunning views and close enough to the bustling harbour and beaches  (5 mins by car)
The accommodation is comfy and open plan for those lazy days.
Justin and Roberta have done a wonderful job at setting you up with what you need just add your own food and sprinkle of adventure.
First day Justin visited the cabin to personally check in if everything was ok and if we needed anything at all which was a nice personal touch.
We will definitely be returning again over the coming years.

More such places.  We got there later than we wanted, but we were greeted by a beautiful view.  What I really liked is that the key is at the cottage in a special box.  You get the right code in the email and that's it.  We slept great.  Drinks and food for breakfast in the fridge.  By 7:00 in the morning, everyone is up.  Coffee on the terrace in the morning and even more beautiful views.  In the morning the owner came to introduce himself and leave his number in case of questions.  The place is beautiful, place for BBQ, parking place.  A dream place for everyone.  A place for families with children and dogs.  Access to the beach is only 7 minutes by car and about 1 hour on foot.  Worth the walk to the beach.  You can really relax.  Even meet a hedgehog. 
We will definitely come back.  I felt like in Poland, in a place where I spent my childhood.  I recommend.  Peace and quiet.

The lodges were beautiful with an amazing view. The lodge was spotless upon arrival. Was a very enjoyable stay, not to mention, we were greeted by a very lovely bottle of Prosecco. Will definitely be returning :)

Had an amazing stay! The lodges are set in beautiful surroundings. They are lovely lodges set in lush quiet scenery and we felt thoroughly looked after by the helpful staff who checked in on us when we arrived. I thoroughly recommend staying here 😍

We had a lovely time staying at Saunton lodge. Very nice and comfortable, the site and the cabins are very well set out and furnished, they have tried to cater for all different types of people and I think they have done a great job. Amazing views and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location so didn’t have to travel far to get to attractions and beaches, supermarkets and shops are local and the pubs/restaurants are really good with great quality food. I would definitely return for another holiday thank you for a great stay

The lodges are set in superb surroundings, at a beautiful location! 

The area, and the lodges themselves, are well looked after and I would recommend paying these guys a visit if you’re thinking of taking a break in the North Devon area!

Lovely and cosy lodge with lovely views. Situated in a great location to explore North Devon. We will certainly be going back again next year. 
Justin was great and nothing was to much trouble for him.

We needed somewhere to stay (family with kids aged 6&4) to visit friends in Ilfracombe where we used to live. 
We had the code to the lodge prior to arrival as the site is unstaffed. 

The hill up to the site is steep and narrow. 

The parking is adequate for the size of the site. 

The views are spectacular. You really do feel at peace and secluded. 

The lodge itself (woolacombe) was immaculately clean and very well appointed. The beds are incredibly comfy. 
Complimentary Prosecco, coffee, tea and washing up liquid was an unexpected bonus! 

We enjoyed a night stay here and will definitely be back. Free laundry too! 

Justin was only a text away when our 4 year decided to throw the bog roll down the loo. 

Lovely little site with excellent accommodation. 
Only gripe would be that the shower was noisy and a bit weak. But considering we’re at the top of a hill you we can understand that water pressure might be a bit on the low side!

We stayed at the Woolacombe lodge on site. It was a lovely secluded area with great views. Loads of lovely hikes were close to us. Our dog was very comfortable at the lodge. 100% recommend for a well priced getaway.

Nails the remit, big time!

Great stay

On arrival looked clean and inviting, a small bottle of prcecco and a welcome pack in place, very nice, the rest is construtive  critacisivm, cooking equipment very basic, could  be better, step up to door not good uneven and very high rise to steps, could do with a handrail or grab rail, worst  on exit down, also top step down has a trip hazard  due to subsidence, a loose piece  of hard mortar dropped in place to compensate which  I tripped over twice, as for the sette and armchair,  uncomfortable would benefit from upgrading, apart from that a most enjoyable stay.

We just spent a week at the lodges at grattons
Cedar lodge .the setting is  so peaceful and we had two lodges has we took 5 dogs .they have had the best holiday woods to walk them in secs off the site and a big field to take them for a quick walk .everything is close by lots of dog friendly beaches around and the coastal walls are a must .I feel the lodge was ok but need a update but to be honest we wasn’t in them long enough .idea stay with your pooches .the local shop came in handy too .
