Visited family in Ashbourne. Lovely park and caravan. Sandwich van open for breakfast sandwiches, great play area for the kids and camping pods too. On the Tissington Trail. Well worth a visit. Free swimming pool too.very family orientated.

A few miles out of Ashbourne in a beautiful setting on a hill. We stayed for two nights in a glamping pod. Perfect for a family of three, double bed and a bed settee. Separate bathroom including shower and wc which was a bonus inside the pod. Small kitchenette, freshly ironed bed sheets, TV, microwave, kettle, fire and table. Everything we needed! 
Staff were friendly, answered my questions and easy to book the swimming pool which was warm enough. A lovely spacioys outside play area, safe and clean. Plenty of bins around and well kept gardens. 
Would love to come back when the weather improves, a great base for walking Tissington Trail, Dovedale and Carsington Water.

We booked a night stay at the park for a campervan. On the day before the stay we were called and informed that the area where the campervans would be situated was not accessible due to bad weather. The park then offered a static caravan for us to use, which was really appreciated. When we met the team on site they made us feel very welcome and apologised for any inconvenience. The team on site are a credit to the park, thanks very much!

My wife and I (and dog) have just got back from a few days at Ashbourne Heights. This was our first self catering holiday for many years and first with our little Staffy and it certainly wasn't disappointing.  Its in a perfect location for exploring, as it sits bang on the Tissington Trail, although we would have preferred being closer to a town/village if we fancied an evening wander but wasn't a deal breaker for us returning as we enjoyed the chilled break we had. I saw the complaints about noise but you are always going to get that anywhere you go and even when it wasn't very busy on our visit there were still some beats going on in the field next to us. To be honest after all the walking they could have had a full on rave and we wouldn't have noticed !!
The friendly staff in the shop/reception were lovely and very helpful.
The only thing I would change was the location of our accommodation as we were right next to the car parking area so felt a bit exposed at times but that was the only disappointment on our trip. As we were there for only a few days i didn't bother saying anything but if we were there for longer I probably would of.
Lovely trip and may well go back at some point.


Lovely ensuite pitch, situated at number 13, the avenue, great view. Very peaceful, first time booking with ensuite which was a lovely added extra, they were spotless and had plenty of hot water. The staff from taking the booking over the photo to showing us our pitch couldn’t be more helpful.

We stayed for 2 nights in an en suite tent camping pitch with electric! Well worth the extra to have facilities at hand with young kids!! Very spacious pitch. All lovely and clean and lovely hot water to shower with!! Fantastic facilities with the bonus of ice cream van visiting!

Clean, well maintained site, En-suite pitches a hit! Beautifully laid out, gorgeous views, helpful, friendly staff. 
Park area, indoor pool (must be booked and does get busy). 
Amazing location, right beside the Tissington Trail! And close to pubs which serve food.

The pitch we were on was fantastic, with water and electric and a private en-suite toilet/shower. Nice day on Saturday so we took advantage and walked down the Tissington trail, which the campsite sits on. 
Sunday the rain bucketed down but we had no issues whatsoever with the pitch. Saturday night the 'chip van' turned up and the fish and chips were spot on. Deffo be going there again

Thank you for our stay and all your help especially Jason who helps us change the caravan tyre. Staff behind reception were extremely polite and welcoming. The play park was brilliant and views stunning.

We camped with ehu, the site is spotless and has everything you need. Undercover pot wash, showers with no extra charge,on site shop, dog and bike wash station, Indoor pool, large kids play area. 
The lady and gentleman on reception (sorry forgot your names😂) were really helpful and friendly, came to the rescue when my car battery was flat and nothing was too much trouble.
The Tissington trail has access from the campsite and there is loads to do in the area if you like outdoor activities.
Can't wait to return!

Better than expected! Lovely camp site and staff are helpful and friendly.

We've just got back from a family weekend away (children are 2 and 5).
Things we loved:
The location is stunning and literally on the Tissington trail, we took a lovely 1 mile walk to the pub called the dog which we recommend. 
Our kids loved the park and found there was stuff for both of them to do (albeit it was like mud soup this week- not the sites fault).
Every staff member we spoke to was incredibly friendly.
The pitches were a great size (we were on a touring pitch) and we were moved from grass to hard standing which was much appreciated.

Things to improve:
The toilet and shower block is very old and although very clean, could certainly be an area for improvement.
There isn't anyone patrolling in the evenings, on our last night the pitch next to us where up until 2am and very loud.
There was a real lack of information, one of the sheets given to us was so confusing and the images where unrecognisable. 
The swimming pool is lovely and was warm, however it would be so nice if there was an adults only swim early on. They don't have a life guard so I don't understand the reduced opening times. Also deffinately get changed in your own tent or van (again none of this information is available).

We are deffinately going to come back later on in the year 🥰

Ashbourne Heights - Lovely Stay

Stayed in a caravan which was very clean and tidy although the radiators were old and rusted. The playground on site is fantastic but realistically not suitable for under 4s except the baby swings. The pool was freezing, my kids just cried, and the changing room is so tiny dont even bother expecting to be able to change in it just change in your caravan or tent. The site in general was very well maintained and the shop was well stocked and reasonably priced but not lots of variety. Check in was super fast and you can get straight from the site onto a lovely trail path and it's just a short drive from dovedale stepping stones and other trail paths plus a lovely local pub.

Spent two nights tent camping here and have to say the site is very nice, greeted in arrival and given our pitch allocation and straight on to setup in 30 degrees, very well maintained, staff friendly and helpful, well stocked shop and a lovely little clean indoor pool. Plenty of nice trails / walks nearby also, would highly recommend a visit, all caravans etc looked immaculate also!
