I stayed here as i was attended a festival in Steyning and this place didnt disappoint. 
Sally was an attentive and brilliant host. Wonderful smile and makes a cracking porridge as well as english breakfast. 

Its decorated to a very high standard and beautiful inside and out. 

I will be recommended this place and will stay again if i get the chance! 

This amazing B&B was built in 1780s! Each room is beautifully decorated and has an en suite. The owner, Sally, greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of her home. She made recommendations for things to see and do around Littlehampton and Arundel and even offered to make a dinner reservation on our behalf at The Six Bells pub nearby. In the morning Blakedene offers a traditional English breakfast made to your liking in the lovely front dining room.

Each of the guestrooms has a television, tea/coffee making facilities and a bottle of fresh water (it was incredibly warm during our stay!) Blakedene does not have central air but our room had a large window that opened fully to allow a cool, evening breeze. The private bathroom was spacious too!

The Six Bells, a 10-minute walk, is a warm and friendly country pub that serves incredibly delicious home-cooked English food. Definitely worth the walk!


We stayed at Blakedene for one night and really loved it there!
The owner Sally welcomed us very warmly and served us some tea and chocolates at the pool in the beatiful back garden. 
Our room was lovingly and tastefully decorated. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern and we loved especially the rain shower. 
Sally recommended us a nice pub for dinner and booked a table for us. She was very caring and helpful during our stay.
The breakfast was delicious and contained a variety of cereals, yoghurt, fresh strawberries, juice, coffee and tea, bread, criossants and a cooked full English breakfast.
There was free parking available onsite. 
We highly recommend staying at this charming Bed&Breakfast!

We arrived earlier than the suggested 4pm for our 2 night stay and were met by Sally the very friendly owner. Understanding our journey, the early arrival was no problem. Shown to our very nice room with king size bed and lovely en-suite facilities. Sally advised on good places to eat and even volunteered to book tables for us.
the breakfasts were excellent and cooked to order from a list. Nothing is too much trouble at this B&B. Thoroughly recommended.

What a lovely house,full of interesting mirrors and a lovely welcome from Sally the hostess who is obviously very well suited to opening her house to bed and breakfasters.
very clean and a great breakfast, and fresh milk offered for tea/coffee in the room as well. Would recommend to others without any hesitation
