Very friendly welcome when we arrived and showed to our room,
The room was spacious and had everything you would need, very clean. We had dinner at night and could not fault it, again the staff serving were friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice for breakfast which again was well presented.
Looking forward to coming back.

Highly recommend the Crown restaurant, The sausage and mash was the best I’ve had, very friendly service, lovely location,  a fab place to eat, and the sticky toffee pudding mmmmmmmm great ale and atmosphere. The manager was really acomodating, even though we hadn’t booked

Stayed one night - room was spotless and meals (seabass and aubergine burger) delicious. Staff were great and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. Super dog friendly too which was perfect for us( including a doggy welcome pack 🐕)

We had a fantastic stay at the Crown Inn. Booking was very easy online and the team were in contact very quickly to see if their was anything they could do to make our stay was a great experience. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and warm, the food was excellent and the staff were brilliant they were very welcoming could not do enough to help. 

We were moved here after our original booking at The King’s Head had to be cancelled due to a power cut. The Crown was absolutely fantastic. It has recently been refurbished so the current pictures don’t donit justice. Diane and her team were all amazing. So attentive and so much attention to detail. We ate a delicious meal which was excellent value for money. The room was spacious, spotless and super comfortable. I would highly recommend the Crown for anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the lakes.

Stopped here on a whim and so pleased we did! Amazing food and service. The steak and ale pie was superb and the sticky toffee pudding with black vanilla ice cream a taste sensation explosion. We’ll be back again to sample more of the food as it all looked great! 

The pub is lovely inside and outside.The staff couldn't do enough to sort a table for a meal even though they were so short staffed.
We went with 4 dogs and were given  a corner table.The food was great,I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good meal.

This large pub was almost empty inside as everyone was making the most of excellent weather by eating on the comfortable and clearly recently refurbished terrace. Lots of dogs so if you’re not keen perhaps better to eat inside. The terrace backs onto a quiet side road so no particular problem with traffic noise or fumes. The menu is wide and goes beyond standard pub fare, a duck spring roll starter was a pleasant and delicious surprise. Burgers, one beef, one chicken, were very well above average and service was prompt. Portions generous. Well  worth a visit.

Me and my partner stayed for a week whilst in coniston for a wedding. Very good friendly atmosphere nice room and great food. Staff were very friendly and good company who always made us feel welcome. We will be back next year.

Great Experience at the Crown Inn

Fabulous

We stayed for one evening at the crown recently.  Had a lovely stay, the staff were lovely and friendly especially the lady with the short hair, very jolly and super dog friendly.   We also ate here in the evening, the only gripe was frozen chips?!!  Please, it's def a no no 😔.  Wouldn't stop us returning to stop over again though.  All in all a great time, thanks.

Excellent pub with an imaginative menu.

The Crown was a great base for a short stay exploring the Lake District. The room was spotless. The furniture is a little tired but the price reflected this, and a note in the room explained that it’s closing in early November for a full refurbishment. We had no issues with parking. The team were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. The surrounding scenery and view from the room were spectacular. We’ll certainly return for a longer stay.

Great spot to stay in the Lakes

Wolfie dog 🐺 & us had a lovely stay in the Crown Inn Coniston.  The staff were excellent & nothing was too much trouble. Wolfie was very well looked after & had a cooked sausage for breakfast every morning on the house! Some small things in the room needed attention & updating but they are doing a refurb in November but overall the room was very clean , the bed very comfortable,  & the tray well stocked plus fresh milk always...all the staff were great , sorry I didn't get all your names but special mention to General Manager Diane, Deputy Manager Niamh & front of house Chris

Really good, really well looked after

We loved our stay at the Crown Inn and hope to return. Great friendly service in an inn with old-world charm but all the modern facilities you need. Large room with a bath and shower. Very clean and comfy. Fresh milk and ice cold water on arrival was a pleasant bonus.

Breakfast was great, lots of choices, plenty for vegetarians, well cooked, good quality. We also had two dinners here and were not disappointed, lots of choice, reasonably priced, high standard, fantastic service. The location can't be bettered, in the heart of this lovely village with views of Coniston Old Man.

Lovely stay in fab location

Visited Crown Inn, Coniston 7th August 2022. Lovely traditional pub with great beer. We were welcomed and shown to our reserved table which we'd booked on the phone earlier. Staff were friendly, polite and fun. 4 meals were very reasonable. Steak and Ale Pie was beautiful. Others all had haddock and chips which they said was beautiful. A very pleasant evening helped by great staff..... Will definitely visit again whenever we're in this area.

Great Pub

Having sampled the wares of another very busy, very dog friendly (nearly more dogs than humans) the night prior, we had visited a couple of more pubs/hotels to research their menu and fell into the Crown Inn. It not only had fewer dogs, but was a darn sight cheaper for drinks and food. 
We came in on the Saturday and waited for the dinner service which started at 5pm. Having already perused the menu, at 5 we placed an order for a sharing starter, the scampi and the chicken and ham pie. The sharing board arrived within minutes and was delightful. Smoked sausage, pork pie, cheese, pickle, salad and olives were satisfying but not filling. 
After only 10 minutes of finishing the starter, the mains arrived and they were not Cordon Bleu, but they were hearty, tasty, wholesome and delicious. My better half claimed it was one of, if not the best scampi she had ever tasted, and the chicken and ham pie was to die for. The highlight of the mains were the thick cut homemade chips which tasted so nice and were cooked to perfection.  
Every plate of food was cleaned off and the satisfied, filled and content look on our faces said everything. Topped off with really nice ale (Madri/Hopnik) this has been the highlight of our trip to Coniston. 
I would advise that anyone visiting doesn't follow the 'it' crowd and pop into the Crown for great ale, great food, great service and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
