Turned up to these beautiful cottages surrounded by amazing views. The owners were really nice. The facilities in the cottage were perfect for what we needed. Was nice taking in the views from the hot tub. Looking to come bk again next year. Easy to find. Nice local pub just round the corner. Plenty to do in the area.

Absolutely faultless cottages. 

The cottages are easy to find from the main road and in a good location for food, drink and essentials. The cottage boasts periodic features as well as modern kitchen area and bathroom, it also boasts amazing views of the country side and only a 40 min drive to Carlisle for those wanting a bit more night life and variety of food choice. 

The hot tub was great too, on the perfect spot to take in all the wonderful views. 

This cottage is in a prime location for those wanting to relax as well as venturing further for some shopping and variety of food and drink. 

Will definitely return.

What a wonderful find. We stayed in the Calf Shed from 22nd to 27th Juky 2019, originally booked for 4 nights but loved it so much, we stayed an  extra night! Everything we needed was in the property and if it wasn't, Sue made sure we knew where to find ut.
Sue and Tom, our hosts, are the neighbours that you want. There if you need them but never intrusive.
Great base for exploring Cumbria, Northumberland and County Durham.
Would definitely recommend Harbut Law and will definitely return.

A weeks holiday, cycling, visiting family, and exploring.  The Hayloft at Harbut Law is a lovely place to do it from.   The Younger family were friendly and welcoming, and our accommodation was comfortable, and in a brilliant spot to base ourselves.  It's a beautiful unspoilt location, would recommend. 

We spent 3 nights in one of the self catering cottages behind the B & B building and had a great time. Excellent base for exploring both Cumbria and Northumberland and the scenery is simply stunning. The cottage had everything we wanted and it is pet friendly so we were able to take our fur babies along! Owners of Harbut Law B & B are very friendly and helpful. Great mini break... we will be back some day!

We stayed in the calf shed cottage which is very comfortable and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. On arrival the there was tea,coffee, biscuits and fresh milk. The accommodation is clean and homely. The location is excellent for visiting the surrounding area. The family are very friendly and particularly helpful with their knowledge the of surrounding area. The hot tub was a great bonus. A very enjoyable holiday!

Wonderful stay at The milking parlour. The little cottage was beautiful and charming. Everything you possibly need for a romantic rural getaway. 
The family were so friendly and supplied so many items that you just don’t get on other holidays. They supplied the coal, wood and firefighters for the beautiful open fire and fresh towels when ever you needed them from the laundry room. 
They really went above and beyond .
The Hottub was also lovely after a day of exploring the North Pennines and the Lake District- all in all a wonderful holiday. Would definitely recommend.

After another long day, we were glad not to have to walk another mile into Alston. Very helpful host drove us to the Co-op to get dinner which was very welcome. Very warm and helpful with our wet boots and kit. The room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was hearty and the coffee was excellent too. B&B was so quaint and a lovely farmhouse.
