Double bed opening onto the garden was nice. Three suggestions for improvement:1. Four steps from bed up to bathroom. Would be helpful to have a handrail up those steps, especially for elderly and/or in the dark.2. Heat was off, but plug-in heater does not work (makes noise, but no output) so nights were chilly.3. Phone reception is poor. Had to step into the garden at night to make a call. Any chance of improving?

Really clean,comfortable and well appointed rooms. Located within yards of a bus stop taking us to the city centre. The TV was a little unreliable-  probably due to Wi-Fi connectivity but it wasn’t a big issue.  There’s ironing boards and irons but the info sheet didn’t say how to find them - in a cupboard on ground floor for future reference.  The property was generally quiet and we felt safe. Just about 10 minutes away walking distance was the Magdalen inn which had great food - maybe a tad pricey for our pockets but nevertheless good. I’m that sane street a lovely bakers and a couple of small coffee shops and a general store - although when we visited they had no milk!  We found Royal Cars very reliable when we needed a taxi - not often as the buses were great. A taxi to the station was £8. When planning your visit around Oxford be aware of serious traffic holdups particularly around the evening rush hour.

Easy self-serve check in. Perfect if you do not want or need interaction with staff.

We stayed in the family suite of this property which was perfect for our family of four.. I loved how there were seperate sleeping quarters and TVs in both rooms (it’s the little things’). The instructions were easy to understand for getting access to the room and departing as well.   2 mins from bus lines and less than 8 mins walk to the Cowley shops and restaurants.  I highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit in a hotel that is walkable to everything you need and less than a 20 mins bus ride from the Oxford train station.

My room was very cozy and comfortable.  I had an upstairs room in the back with a lovely view. It was very clean and although small, had everything I needed ans was cute.  The bed was very comfortable.  It was a nice walk to the Oxford « campus » where my daughter  was doing a summer study.  It wa self check in so the code sent with check in info is needed.  My only  negative is that there didn’t seem to be a way to contact anyone with concerns.  No contact info is on the how-to check in sign. My toilet lid was array which was very minor but if something major was an issue I’m not sure how i would have contacted  anyone.  However, I would definitely stay there again!!

Extremely close to the bus stop in what feels like a very safe neighbourhood. Busing to the city centre takes about 10 minutes, walking is about 30 but it's very flat. Cell reception in the area is not great--I could not access my phone data network easily. Wifi connection is great and the password is posted in the check in area. I was told there would be an information folder in the room but could not find it, however the team quickly sent me a digital copy when I requested.  No staff are on site but they responded pretty quickly to direct emails (not as quickly to Expedia messages.)Check in is quick and easy, you enter your information on a kiosk which spits out a room key for you. There is a drop box to leave the key at the end of your stay. The carpet in the hall is pretty stained but hey its where everyone is walking with their shoes on so it can't be helped. Inside the room was pretty clean but there is no mini fridge to keep food or snacks. Soundproofing is not great - you can hear people walking in the hallways and doors opening and closing. I found people were pretty respectful about keeping quiet after 10:30ish.I stayed for 8 days and housekeeping visited once about halfway through my stay. I wish I had been notified about which day they were coming in advance. Overall a good place to stay!

A beautiful clean comfortable location

Overall our stay was great. We slept ok. Our room overlooked the garden and was comfortable and quiet.  The only thing we didn’t like was that the room wasn’t serviced during our stay (4 nights). This meant that we ran out of milk sachets for coffee on our second day & they weren’t topped up. Had there been a mini fridge in the room, we could have bought a carton of milk from the supermarket & it would have kept fresh in the fridge.

Comfortable stay, but wish there was a fridge.

The room was spacious by Oxford standards and comfortable. Great shower, comfortable bed, quiet (I was on main floor but there was not too much traffic of other guests or I did not hear them). There is a kettle in the room and otherwise you have to eat out as no little fridge or anything, but that's normal. By email, I was able to communicate with management as needed for small things (like change of towels). Everyone very response. 30 min walk to the Oxford college I was working at but I like to walk.

Property is walkable distance from city center which is nice because it means you get less city noise. Room was great, only reason I docked a star for cleanliness is because some trash was left under one of the night stands by the bed. Other than that, room was great and very comfortable with the one exception of the pillows - please get new ones, they were like rocks. Property management was very responsive and there was a nice little guide in the room with recommendations for food and drinks. The TV has had streaming apps. This property is located right next to a bus stop so very easy to hop on for transport. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely place. I was on the verge and needed respite for two nights. Room 1 was miraculously available. There is an air of peacefulness in that room - it helped me heal.The place is very clean and the decor is lovely. The room is also a good size. My only suggestion would have been to sort out the doors because they slam shut, but I supposed that's because they are soundproof.

Light, beautifully presented room with fabulous bed and a peaceful, sunny patio.Everything's like new - doors & woodwork, tasteful furniture, super bathroom. Kitchenette with hotplates, microwave, fridge and quality pans etc that are a pleasure to use. Interesting area with great local pub, 10-min walk to neighbourhood bars and loads of Cowley Road shops & eating places, lovely 20-min walk into city, buses right outside.Minor moans: only one (stylish but bulky) seat inside, no hanging rail, noise through walls if your neighbour's a loudmouth or snores...
