Creek Plaza Hotel

It's a hotel which offers mainly apartment style accommodation. All of which is pretty basic.

The Pros are as follow: Malls are nearby, rooms are cleaned daily, room service are fast and helpful. 
The Cons: There is a club beneath the hotel which will play loud music maybe 2 nights of the week

We stayed here for one night. Rooms are big. The interiors and fixtures are a little dated though and needs improvement. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Its close to the nice malls of RAK and the best part was my little one slept well while we're here. Not bad for the price.

Know what to expect

Close proximity to Al Manar Mall, RAK Mall....not bad

We booked a Royal Suite with full kitchen facilities.   However on arrival we discovered the kitchen did not have the advertised tea/coffee making facilities, no microwave and no kitchen / cooking utensils - only a few plates, cups and glasses - not even enough for our family members!   Housekeeping were able to supply a few things but not enough to allow us to cook as we had planned.   The television did not work, the double bed had a single sheet and the two single beds were not made up - we had to call housekeeping to sort which they did.   Housekeeping did not remake the single beds the next day -   again no sheets!   There was no restaurant as advertised and the 'eat in breakfast' comprised three choices of eggs, stale bread (supposedly toasted!) cereal - no choice, and tea or coffee - we could not eat our breakfast the first morning as the eggs were not cooked properly - we requested well cooked for the next morning but again they could not be eaten as they were not cooked.
Some of the photos of the hotel (websites and brochures at the hotel) are misleading such as the elegant grassed enrtrance - we had to drive around to the rear of the building where there is a shabby desert area - far from the green of the photos. 
This would be the worst experience we have had in many years of traveling!

False advertising!

We chose this hotel because we were looking for a place that would allow us to self-cater - unfortunately we did not realise this would mean we had to bring everything ourselves! On arrival we discovered that the kitchen in our 'Royal Suite' came equipped with three forks of differing sizes, one table knife, three spoons, one teaspoon, a chopping board, two cups, four plates and four glasses. Nothing to cook with, no tea and coffee making facilities, no microwave as had been advertised.

There were three of us but there were only two towels in the suite when we arrived, and the second bedroom had only a comforter on the bed, no sheet - disgusting!

The furniture in the lounge was covered in a layer of cigarette ash, the smell of which was only made worse by a putrid 'air freshener' set to spray automatically every few minutes. This smell was carried though the entire suite by the air conditioning system, which thankfully was loud enough to somehwat drown out the thumping sounds of the karaoke bar (open 10pm-3am) directly above our bedroons.

We could not use the television because there was no adaptor in the room.

The bath/shower leaked all over the floor.

The promised ironing board and iron were non-existant.

We had to ask for a cable to be able to use the internet in the room.

In fairness to the staff, when we asked for things they were mostly provided: we were given a saucepan and frying pan as well as some cooking utensils - we were told no teatowels were available however, and were not provided with a knife for preparing food, or a microwave.

The Creek Plaza would have sufficed had we known what we were getting ourselves into and been able to brace ourselves. Unfortunately we fell victim to blatantly false advertising, both on the website we booked the room through and the hotel's own self-published materials. 

Overpriced, and we were very disappointed by the false advertising. Would certainly not recommend.

Misleading writeups - very little is as described!

i stayed in this hotel because i got no better option,other hotels were full.
although I have reserved the best room it still has poor furniture, small tv, very high noise from roof chillers that you can't sleep, dirty carpets + no service at all
